Chapter 33: Framed!

1617 Words
Jack took a deep breath. This woman— in a brief time, based on his emotions, as well as a few words, had analyzed the situation to such a terrifying extent. "What are you dazed for, admiring a beauty? Let’s go!" Diana stepped out in her high heels. Jack, who had been momentarily stunned, followed suit. Upon walking out, Diana made a phone call. Once the call ended, a black luxury car appeared on the street. Diana opened the car door and said, “Get in!” Jack nodded. "Drive! To the police station," Diana instructed the driver. "Yes, Miss Diana!" Upon hearing her voice, the driver pressed the gas, and the car headed forward. “What does your sister do?” Diana asked casually, crossing her legs and tapping her heels, while they were in the car. The rear of the vehicle was surprisingly spacious. “She's in the clothing business!” Jack answered truthfully. After brief contemplation, Diana said, “If she’s in the clothing business, then it's probably not a very big operation. You indicated that your sister couldn't have committed crimes serious enough to be arrested by the police. Therefore, it is very likely that someone framed your sister, and since someone had the opportunity to call you, this situation could be big or small!” "Big or small?" Jack asked, confused. Diana smirked and said, “If someone framed your sister, they would most likely accuse her of selling counterfeit goods, right?” After all, how else could you frame someone in the clothing business? "Right!" Jack looked at Diana in astonishment. How did this woman guess it? Diana smiled slightly and said, “That’s why I said the situation could be big or small.” “What do you mean—” Jack still didn't understand. Diana didn't explain any further but said, “Leave this matter to me.” "What’s your sister's name?" She asked as she spoke. "Mary!" Jack said. Hearing this, Diana pressed a few keys on her phone, apparently sending a text message. After sending the text, Diana held onto her phone. "Now, how are you going to repay me?" Diana, wearing stockings, moved her long legs back and forth, her eyes locked on Jack. "Repay..." Jack was taken aback and said, "Is everything resolved?" "That's none of your business, now tell me, how will you repay me?" Diana’s face came closer, her gaze fixated on Jack. Jack shifted back a bit. "How do you want to be repaid?" The more he did this, the more Diana encroached, as if she had found the most amusing man in the world. Her lips curved into a beautiful arc and she said, “If I may suggest... how about repaying me with your body?” Jack's body trembled. Even the driver was startled. Such forthright words would unsettle any man. The driver took a deep breath to calm himself, knowing that his boss was a dazzling beauty. She often spoke provocatively, but it was rare for her to address a man so directly. Who knows— Would this young boy agree? How wonderful if it were him instead? Jack swallowed nervously. "Alright, if you say repaying with my body is the way, then so it shall be!" Jack unexpectedly agreed. “Giggle, giggle!” Diana burst out laughing, her mouth opening in a pleasant smile as she brushed the hair from her forehead. "You little charmer, you've learned to be naughty!" "..." Jack knew that this woman would not actually make him repay her with his body. She was like a rose with thorns. Her thorns, superficially, appeared to be a woman's breasts, but upon grabbing them, one would find that the seemingly harmless treasure was, in fact, bristling with poisonous spikes. If you grabbed it, you would be done for. Diana didn't suggest that Jack become her bodyguard, although she certainly liked to compete with that noble lady for men. But she knew Jack would surely refuse. And she did not want— To be rejected for the fourth time. The driver continued driving until they arrived at the East Police Station, where he stopped the car. Jack and Diana got out together. Tracy was waiting at the police station entrance. Upon seeing Jack, she immediately shouted anxiously: "Jack, you're here! Your sister is inside now; those police officers are interrogating her. You must hurry and take a look. They keep saying your sister sold counterfeit goods!" "Hmm..." "Who is this?" Tracy looked at Diana, took a deep breath, and thought to herself what a beautiful woman. She considered herself attractive but compared to Diana, they were not on the same level. This woman's attire perfectly complemented her exquisite figure, especially those stocking-clad slender legs—truly fatal attractions for any man. Standing there, this woman was undoubtedly the center of attention, overshadowing anyone equally beautiful, purely with her presence and charisma. And where could one find a man more beautiful than this woman? "She is my friend!" Jack explained. "Stop worrying about that," Tracy said urgently. "Hurry up and see your sister!" "Hmm!" "I've tried so many things. These cops just won't budge. It doesn't make sense for the interrogation over selling fake goods to take this long!" Tracy said anxiously as they walked. Meanwhile, Diana had just received a text message. As she read the message, a satisfied smile spread across her face, so enchanting that it softened the hearts of those who noticed. ... In the police station. Two men sat in the room, one fleshy and another pale and lean, clearly frail. "Hey Liu, the woman we just brought in doesn't look bad!" chuckled the pale officer. The fatty's eyes narrowed. "What, you’re thinking of taking advantage of her?" "If there's a chance, definitely! But who knows if the woman is smart. Businesswomen usually don't leave loopholes; she’s not easy to deal with," the other officer snickered. Thud, thud. Someone knocked on the room's door. "Who is it!" Liu opened the door. It was Jack and his group. "What's the matter?" "Where's Mary!" Tracy asked hurriedly. "Oh!" The young cop said coldly, "Are you talking about that peddler who deceives the common folk with fake clothes? Are you her relatives? I’ll tell you, her actions are serious. She's being interrogated right now, and she might end up in jail if this doesn’t resolve favorably. Humph!" Tracy shuddered when she heard this, and the next moment, said, "We didn't sell fake goods!" Even though she wasn't seasoned in the business world, she had never faced such a situation before. Were they hoping for a bribe? Surely the situation couldn't be that straightforward. "Comrade, just because you say she didn't sell fake goods, that makes it true?" Liu snorted haughtily, though he still played the role honorably. "I advise you to release her!" A playful laugh suddenly filled the air, and the speaker was none other than Diana. Diana winked at the two policemen with a flirty smile and crossed her arms. "What do you think this place is..." Liu was about to speak but caught sight of Diana's appearance and inhaled sharply—such a beautiful woman. This woman was definitely a catch. His heart flared with desire, but Liu still tried to maintain his composure, saying, "You think this is a place where people get punished without reason? I'll tell you, if someone commits a crime, they must face the consequences." "Punishment?" Diana laughed melodiously, "What mistake did she make?" "She sold counterfeit goods, cheated the public, and demanded exorbitant prices. This matter, the people have complained to our police station more than once!" Liu said somberly. What was this woman trying to say? Some people just know how to disguise themselves. One claims after another, how noble? "Oh, so you mean to say that more than one person has reported her to your police station?" Diana blinked and asked. "That's right!" Liu proclaimed boldly. Unbeknownst to him, he had already fallen into Diana's trap. Diana giggled coquettishly, her eyes enchanting. "Oh, so that woman is so egregious. With so many people accusing her, it must have taken you until now to arrest her because you have gathered enough evidence. I understand that many police officers do not act rashly, but instead bide their time and annihilate their enemies in one fell swoop! People know that the police are the heroes, just like in the movies." Liu's eyes brightened, knowing he had found an opportunity to converse with this woman. Meanwhile, Diana looked at Liu and the younger cop with admiration, as if they were heroes in her eyes. Liu, puffing out his paunch, sat down next to Diana and laughed heartily: "Miss, you're right. If we had acted too soon, it would have been like startling the snake. Although many like you have reported this case, we still can't act rashly. You should know that being a police offer isn't just about brute force; it's also about using your brain." "As for in the movies, haha, movies should not be taken as reality, of course. It is our duty to work hard and bear hardships for the people." While speaking, Liu surreptitiously took a deep breath in. This woman smelled heavenly. "Oh!" Diana seemed very pleased, her gaze shifting between Liu and the younger cop, teasing them till they couldn't resist. "Then let me ask you something..." Diana asked with caution, her voice sweet to the listening ear. "If someone has reported a case to your police station, surely there would be a record of it, right? So, if there have been multiple reports against the same issue, may I see the records?"
