#musicvibe - Thumbs, Sabrina Carpenter * Tyson POV We walked hand in hand back to the castle. Both of us were naked and we had to tiptoe carefully on the rough ground since we were barefoot. When we got closer, Valeria stopped and her eyes widened. “Kayden and Garrett were in our bedroom that night.” She gasped and buried her face in her hands. “They saw me naked.” I chuckled. “I don’t think that they care.” I replied. “Lycans in training see each other naked all the time when shifting back, it doesn’t bother us the same way as it does humans.” Valeria looked up, her face beet red. “This is mortifying.” She muttered and started walking again. “I just want to crawl into a hole and die.” “Do you want me to talk to them?” I asked. She sighed. “No, it’s fine.” She replied. “It’s just…weird.” “Well, it’s my fault.” I said. “They came to our bedroom because I was pinned to the floor, and I didn’t know how to get you out of the castle when I couldn’t move.” “Urgh, don’t remind me.” Valeria groaned. “I almost gave you a bl*wjob right in front of them.” I tried my hardest not to laugh, but the whole situation was so bizarre that I didn’t know if I should laugh or be worried. Maybe a bit of both. “It’s not your fault.” I said. “And if your powers are stronger, we will figure out a way to balance them, so that you don’t lose control.” I cupped her cheeks and moved her hair away from her face. “It’s going to be fine.” I whispered and kissed her forehead. “I know it’s scary right now, but you’re not alone. We can get through this together.” Valeria nodded and smiled softly. “I love you.” She whispered. “I love you too.” I smiled. * Valeria POV After sleeping for the whole day, I felt a lot better. That didn’t mean that I found the courage to leave the bedroom. If I had the choice, I would stay under the covers forever, hoping that I never had to look anyone in the eye again. I know Tyson said that it was normal, but I was still so embarrassed that I was afraid of seeing anyone. So instead, I found myself sitting on the bed, staring absentmindedly out the window. Tyson left to take care of things and I felt bad for locking myself in here while he had to go take care of our kingdom on his own when I was supposed to be helping him. My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door and I stood up from the bed and opened the door. I almost wanted to slam it shut when I saw Garrett standing outside. Instead I glued my gaze to the floor and awkwardly cleared my throat. “Can I help you?” I asked sheepishly. “I just wanted to make sure that you were okay.” Garret said, concern evident in his voice. “You haven’t been out of the room all day and I was worried about you.” I smiled. “I’m fine.” I mumbled. Garrett snorted. “Yeah right.” He said. “You’re a terrible liar Valeria.” I shrugged. “I’m just tired.” I muttered. “Then why aren’t you looking at me?” Garrett said. I winced at the memory of my heat and forced myself to look at him. “Sorry.” I replied. “I’m just…” I trailed off before I could finish the sentence. I had no idea how to explain my thoughts. “Is this about the heat?” Garrett asked. I didn’t reply, and he put his hand on my arm. “It’s okay.” He said. “When it comes to she-wolves in heat, that’s not the worst I’ve seen.” I raised an eyebrow at him, not believing him for a second. “Really.” Garrett chuckled. “Once, I saw an Omega that actually jumped her mate in the middle of breakfast in the dining hall. He didn’t really have much self control either, so once they started, there was no stopping them. They basically had s*x in front of like fifty people.” I stared at him and started giggling. “That must have been one awkward breakfast for everyone.” I laughed. Garrett chuckled. “Well, I have to say that I lost my appetite rather quickly.” he replied. “Tyson asked us for help because your powers were acting weird, and you started to set things on fire.” Garrett continued. “He was worried that you’d get hurt, and I’m impressed that he managed to control himself long enough to take you out of the castle.” “I feel so bad.” I admitted. “I hurt him, and there was nothing I could do to stop it.” “Don’t beat yourself up about it.” Garrett said. “You’re doing great.” I smiled. “Thanks.” I said softly. “You’re a great Gamma, you know.” Garrett smiled too and took my hand. “Well, if you’re done with your pity party.” He teased. “How about you come with me and check something out? We got some results back yesterday and we want you to take a look at it.” “What is it?” I asked. “You’ll see.” He replied. “But we have a visitor, so I’d suggest that you change into something official.” I looked down at myself and frowned at my sweatpants and frumpy old t-shirt. “I guess this attire isn’t exactly fit for a queen.” I muttered and rolled my eyes. “Just give me a few minutes.” I quickly slipped on a simple forest green maxi dress with long sleeves and a square neckline. Golden embroideries were sewn around the edges of the sleeves and the neckline, it was tight around my waist and flowed around my legs. I slipped into a pair of sandals and combed through the entangled mess that I called hair, before giving up and just tying it into a low bun. When I was ready, I opened the door again and I saw that Garrett had been waiting patiently for me to finish outside the door. “Sorry to keep you waiting.” I mumbled. “It’s fine.” He replied as we started walking towards Tyson’s office. “You have to stop apologizing so much. You’re a queen now. I know that you are new to this and everything is freaky, but you’re doing great. You had such a confident front when we met you at MI:6’s headquarters, how about you try to find that again? Maybe that would help?” “Maybe you’re right.” I replied after a minute. “I’m just so unsure about everything right now, it feels like I’m doing everything wrong.” Garrett chuckled. “You’ve been a lycan for like five minutes.” He said and patted my shoulder. “Cut yourself some slack.” “Sure.” I sighed. We reached Tyson’s office and Garrett opened the door, gesturing for me to go inside. Tyson was sitting by his desk, and I stopped for a moment when I saw how handsome he looked in a black suit and white shirt. He was born royalty and he really knew how to look the part, whereas I felt like a potato. He looked up and smiled at me. “How are you feeling?” He asked and got up from his chair. “I’m fine.” I replied. He turned to a man in his late fifties with thinning hair and a gray mustache. “Mr Burke, this is my mate and Luna.” He said. Mr Burke bared his neck to me. “It’s an honor to meet you, my queen.” He said. “I come with news from the Grey moon pack in Colchester.” I nodded and glanced at Tyson questioningly. “He’s from your father’s old pack.” He explained. My eyes widened. “Really?” I said. “I didn’t know he was still part of a pack.” My heart sank when I saw Mr Burke look a little sad. “What news are you bringing?” I asked. Based on his facial expression, it wasn’t anything good.
