#musicvibe - Wildfire, Bad Wolves * Caniluna castle. July 30th, 2146. * Valeria POV My whole body was hurting, and I stiffly sat up, blinking in confusion and looking around. I had no idea how I got here. The last thing I remembered was that I was lying in bed with Tyson sleeping next to me. I started to register my surroundings and saw that I was in a forest. Everything was dark and I could see the first rays of sunlight making their way through the treetops. Almost every tree within a ten feet radius was completely black, some tree branches still smoking. The ground was covered in ashes and a tree to my left had even been uprooted and was leaning against another tree, stopping it from falling to the ground. The pain in my body started registering, and I realized how sore I was between my legs. My heart caught in my throat, memories from my past flashing before my eyes. When I was a child, a group of scientists killed my family and kidnapped me. For six years, they experimented on me and trained me to become a genetically engineered soldier. During the time I was locked up, the leader of the operation singled me out and molested me. I had struggled a lot to overcome the traumas of my past, and feeling pain like this brought back memories of nights after he had his way with me and I was lying in my cage crying as silently as I could from the pain. When I was fourteen, a military team led by Mr Sampson had rescued me and he had given me to his sister to care for. They taught me how to be a normal teenager, but there was no denying that I was different. I started working for Mr Sampson when I was sixteen, and I did so up until about two months ago. That’s when I met Tyson. He was the lycan king of the United Kingdom, and all werewolves and lycans in the country were under his rule. When he marked me, a wolf was born inside of me, and I met Willow for the first time. Since I was Tyson’s mate, I was crowned queen and was supposed to rule by his side. I just needed to figure out what happened here. I had no doubt that the damage done to the forest was from my powers, but I couldn’t understand why. How could I lose control like this without even knowing? My heart almost stopped when I looked behind me and saw Tyson lying face down on the ground. Ignoring my aching body, I ran over to him and turned him over. “Tyson.” I shrieked and I slapped a hand over my mouth when I saw his chest littered with burn marks, bite marks and bleeding gashes that were slowly healing. My sense of smell had heightened a lot when I became a lycan, and I could tell that my scent was all over him. Did I hurt him? I cupped his cheeks as tears started forming in my eyes. “Tyson.” I whimpered. “Wake up. Please open your eyes.” Tyson partially opened his eyes and he put his hand on my arm. “Just a minute, please Valeria.” He whispered hoarsely. “What happened?” I asked. “Did I do this?” Tyson frowned and looked up. “You’re back?” He asked and sat up. I stared at him. “What happened here?” I asked again, starting to feel panicked. “You went into heat.” Tyson said. “It’s something that happens to she-wolves twice a year. It’s a natural instinct to procreate and for three days they are extremely drawn to their mate, completely taken over by their umm… urges.” “Urges?” I repeated and looked around. “So you’re telling me that I burned the forest down because I got so horny that I couldn’t control myself.” Tyson chuckled and I glared at him. “This isn’t funny.” I growled. “I hurt you. Just look at yourself!” I buried my face in my hands, feeling completely overwhelmed. Tyson shuffled closer to me and put his hands on my forearms, pulling my hands away from my face and forcing me to look at him. “I’m fine.” He said. “It’s all going to be healed by the end of the night. “How did I lose control like this?” I cried. “How could I hurt you?” “It’s not your fault.” Tyson replied. “It’s normal. It happens to every she-wolf.” My eyes widened when I realized something. “Wait.” I frowned. “You said that this happens twice a year.” I stared at him and he nodded. “So this is going to happen again.” I whispered. I buried my face in my hands again, forcing myself not to hyperventilate as my worst nightmare started to come true. My powers had changed after I became a lycan, and I felt the control slip through my fingers. When my senses heightened, so did my powers. With all that extra sensitivity to everything around me, I started feeling myself losing control of my powers slightly. But I had never lost control like this. Things started to come back to me, and new tears formed in my eyes when I started to remember what happened after I collapsed in the bathroom. My fear increased when Tyson’s emotions pierced through my heart, fear being the most dominant one. Was he afraid of me? I inched away from him, and he frowned. “It’s okay.” I whispered while the tears kept flowing down my cheeks. “You don’t have to be so close to me. After what just happened, I understand if you want me to stay away.” “What do you mean?” Tyson asked bewildered. “I don’t want you to stay away. Never.” “But I can feel your fear.” I protested. “I only remember bits and pieces of what’s happened here, but what I’ve seen is just… messed up.” I didn’t even have a word to describe the images that appeared in my brain. How I used my powers to pin Tyson down as I was riding him. How he passed out from exhaustion and I kept rubbing myself all over him, feeling frustrated that he wasn’t waking up to pleasure me again. How I had the strongest orgasms of my life and set everything around me on fire to try to ease the heat surging through me. “I’m sorry I lost it like that.” I heard Willow whisper, feeling how sad she was. “I never wanted anyone to get hurt, especially not our mate.” “I know.” I replied. “It wasn’t like I was in control either. I don’t blame you for this.” Sparks shot up my face as Tyson cupped my cheeks, gently wiping my tears away. “I’m not afraid of you.” He said. “I’m afraid for you. I put that mark on your neck, and now your powers are acting out like crazy. I did this to you.” I shook my head and wrapped my arms around his neck. He hugged me back tightly and I sobbed silently with my forehead pressed against his shoulder. “It’s going to be okay.” Tyson whispered and caressed my curly brown hair. “The first heat after the shift is always the worst. It’s before the human and the wolf have found the balance. There are two personalities inside of you now, and it’s going to take more than a month for you to get used to each other. When you have your next heat, you won’t feel that out of control, I’m sure of that.” Feeling slightly better hearing that, I nodded and gave him a small smile. Tyson smiled back and reached out his hand. “Now that the heat is over, how about we go back to the castle?” He suggested. I nodded and we both groaned in pain when we staggered to our feet. “I’m really sorry about this.” I said sheepishly and pointed at the tree. “Maybe I should just put that down before it falls on somebody.” Tyson smiled and I raised my hand, mentally grabbing hold of the tree. The tree crashed to the ground and I frowned, looking down at my hand. “What is it?” Tyson asked. “The tree must have been more unstable than I thought.” I mumbled. “I barely moved it.” “Well, it can’t hurt anybody now.” Tyson chirped and wrapped his arm around my shoulders. “Let’s go?” “Yeah.” I replied and we started walking back towards the castle.
