CHP 7: ABSORBING MANA

Alex knocked on sejaru's door, and a middle-aged man opened the door.

"Hoho young warlock you came early than I expected," Sejaru said

"This lowly one greets master"

"Hahaha what a smart kid, okay come inside"

"Ok master"

Alex entered sejaru house, it was a building with numerous rooms, making Alex ponder if his new master had an orphanage, while walking through the passage a woman and two girls could be seen coming their way.

"Dad, is this your new disciple?" one of the girls asked

"Honey I'm also curious," the mature woman pouted.

"Hoho, this is my new disciple his name is Alex"

"Disciple greets Big Auntie " Alex bow lightly to the woman.

"Hehe, you don't have to call me Big Auntie, my name is Mia and these two are my daughters Rose and Marie, my son Damon is out on an errand, when he comes back you will get to know him," the woman said.

"Okay Ma'am"

"Just call me Mia silly boy"

"This lowly one doesn't dare to call master wife by her name"

"Hahahaha, what a smart kid " sejaru laughed and patted Alex's head

"Little brother we will get to play with you after your lesson" Rose and Marie giggled.

Alex gulped as he was teased by the women, his willy inside his trousers wasn't listening to him.

Mia was a busty and beautiful woman, but she was inferior to Alex's mom Dorcas in terms of beauty.

Rose and Marie were also busty and had a striking resemblance with their mom despite their age. Alex guessed Rose should be about 20 while Marie was about Jennifer's age, he knew Damon should also be his age or slightly younger.

"What a lucky master, not only does he have a beautiful house but he also has a wonderful family but he still usually flirts with my mom," Alex thought.

"Ahem, young lad we have to leave these women alone or else we won't do anything for today," sejaru said while scratching his bald head like he knew what Alex was thinking.

Alex nods his head and follows Sejaru to a storeroom that was full of junk.

Sejaru was scattering the junk all over the room and mumbling to himself.

"Haha found it, this is a gauntlet I made by myself lad, it's a low quality though but you will use it to practice your sound waves for today, as it requires metal to be activated".

Sejaru threw the gauntlet to Alex and he caught it. Sejaru also selected a pile of bulky books.

" You will study this books, it will help you comprehend your elements further" then sejaru passed the books to Alex.

Alex's face paled when he carried the books, as they weighed about 50 kilograms.

"This damn books will take about a year before I finish studying them" Alex screamed inwardly.

"Let go outside in the courtyard and test your elements".

Alex nodded his head and followed sejaru, he dropped the books in a safe corner before following sejaru.

They arrived at a very large field, which has a small garden at the end of it. The garden has plenty of herbs that Alex knew were special.

" Master, are you an alchemist?" Alex asked.

"Hoho I dare not claim to be an alchemist, however, my wife is an alchemist, I'm just a blacksmith during my prime".

" Anyways, sit down on the floor and feel the mana around you"

Alex sat down on a patch of grass in a lotus position, he closed his eyes trying to sense any mana fluctuations.

After a few minutes of trying Alex didn't get any result.

"Master I have tried to sense the mana surrounding me but I am unable to do a thing" Alex complained, feeling dejected.

"Hahaha" sejaru laughed

"If it was that easy, everybody would awaken an element even at their old age, alas not everyone was destined to awaken an element unless they would take their path as a light mage or a dark mage. But mages are very rare due to the low certainty of harnessing mana to their will".

" Just still your mind and try to feel the mana surrounding you. After you feel it, enter your sea of consciousness and take a look at your mana core, once you see your mana core try to forcibly absorb the mana around you directing it to your core, so that you can break the barrier obstructing you from storing mana".

"Okay Master," Alex replied.

And he began to feel his surroundings, he could feel a tingling substance lingering in the air, then he took a glance of his sea of consciousness, he could see A round deep green ball floating in his consciousness.

Alex forcibly absorbed the mana while gritting his teeth.

*POP*.

Alex heard something shattered within his mana core, and the mana began entering his body without resistance.

Alex greedily absorbed the mana as fast as he could, the mana was very dense and thick which was somewhat giving him pleasure while absorbing it. He also noticed his mana core getting bigger and greener.

But when the core got bigger to a stage, it started resisting mana, Alex knew he had reached his limit.

He opened his eyes and looked at his master who was meditating.

"Master, I have finished absorbing the mana, I think I have hit my limit".

Sejaru who heard Alex's words, eyes widened with shock.

" WHAT KIND OF MONSTER ARE YOU".?
