The God of Gravity part 2: Olympus

Father and Daughters

I am bathing in a hot bath under the starry sky. I feel good and relaxed as the warm water hug me all around. The bath is huge, and the bottom and sides were made out of marble. I am sitting on the corner with my arms on the edge of the bath as I gaze up into the sky. I could fall asleep here. Although I got uncomfortable entering n***d with other gods, I got used to it eventually. They didn't mind me and I just sat here all this time. Darius is being shackled in chains at the other corner after he woke up and started to make trouble again. He struggled to get out of the shackles but he can't because they are very thick and strong. They also muffled his mouth because he has been roaring ever since he got here. But I can still hear his muffled grunts and growls. However, it didn't hinder me to enjoy this relaxation after all that trouble climbing here. It feels rewarding.

Minutes later, I was called out by one of the servant gods and took me somewhere around the house after I changed into eastern clothing the same as they wear. I wore the color of brown while Darius wore the color of grey. He's not restrained anymore but he's still frowning in anger when they took his dagger. They took my equipment too but I trust that they will give them to us later.

Then the servant stopped before the door made out of decorative paper with moving paintings of plants in a frame. He sat on the ground with his knees beside each other and opened the door. It is an empty huge room with beautiful decorations. On the left side of the wall, there are flowers on each side of a shrine with a picture of a woman with her golden hair like Lady Aurelia.

"Sit there and wait for him," said the servant and showed his hand to the two thin pillows on the floor then there are three pillows before the shrine. In the middle, there is a bigger pillow than the rest.

I sat at the right of Darius like how I saw everyone in this house sit with my thighs over my lower legs and my knees beside each other. Darius angrily sat and I felt the floor shaking when he did it. He sat with his legs crossed then he rested his chin on his right palm and his elbow on his knee. He frowned while looking at the picture of the lady in front of us. I just waited patiently while looking everywhere. Everything looks wonderful and amazing. The decorations, paintings, and walls are aesthetically beautiful. I looked at the picture of the lady again, and I noticed that her face looks like Lady Aurelia but older.

Then the door opened and speak of the devil, she entered with a "Hellow, Lisa and Daniel!" waving both of her hands and smiling.

"It's Leonide, my lady," I said.

Lady Mila entered and sat on a pillow on the right side. She just frowned at me so I looked at Darius.

Then after he stood up, Darius yelled, "It's Darius, you blockhead!"

She narrowed her eyes with a smirk and zipped behind Darius and poked him at his neck so he folded it. She laughed before saying, "So you're ticklish there?"

"I'm gonna beat you up!" he screamed as Lady Aurelia messed with him by dodging his every attack and moving very fast like lightning. "Aaaaaargh!!!" he screamed in frustration as she just played with him and continued poking the back of his neck. He covered it and she tickled his side so he dropped his hand that covered his neck. Then she poked the back of his neck again.

It went on and on until "Aurelia!" yelled Lady Mila and I was startled. "Stop it and sit at your place! And no more fighting!"

"Ugh...," she groaned while grabbing the back of Darius's neck and he struggled to get out of her strong grip.

She pushed him down the ground easily and zipped on her place in front of him. She childishly made faces in front of Darius while Lady Mila restrained him with her black smoke. Then she frowned at Lady Aurelia so she stopped making faces. Then everything was silent for a whole minute and I can faintly hear Darius's angry breath as he frowned at Lady Aurelia.

It went on for another minute and I couldn't help but to speak, "It's an honor to be in your presence, Lady-"

"Just shut up and wait for him," she said coldly so I stayed put shut my mouth.

Then the door finally opened as a man cheerfully said, "Good evening, children!"

Then I recognize who he is! It's King Rai, the God of Wind! He wore white eastern traditional clothing. His hair is black with a normal hairstyle. He looks bright with his smile like Lady Aurelia. He looks middle-aged as he is. I feel that I am in the presence of someone very powerful even though I don't have the ability to sense someone's power.

There's a fine breeze as he entered and said, "It's nice to meet you, Leonide Padyne and Darius Ozan!"

I feel nervous as I bowed on the ground while saying, "The pleasure is all mine, King Rai, and with respect, it is pronounced as 'Padeen'."

"Oh!" he said and I looked at him as he scratched his head. "I'm sorry about that! Won't happen again."

"You're the King?!!" yelled out Darius as he pointed at King Rai. "At last! I am gonna beat you right here and become stronger than any King of Olympus!" He jumped over me to punch him but he stopped above as he floated in the air. "What?!! What did you do to me, geezer?!!" The goddesses laughed.

"Good one," said Lady Aurelia.

"Geezer...," repeated Lady Mila while smiling.

"Lively as always," said King Rai with a kind smile. "aren't you, Darius. Well, just for tonight, would everybody please behave as we go through?"

We nodded and I realized that he is making Darius float with his power. He slowly put Darius back onto his place as he went to kneel on the center pillow facing the shrine.

"I'm home, my love," he said.

So that's his wife.... and I just realized that this shrine is devoted to her because she already passed away. The family resemblance is clear by looking at the faces of Lady Aurelia and Lady Mila. And to think of it if not for the color of their hair, they really look alike, like they are twins. Maybe they are...

Then suddenly, "Give me a hug, my beautiful twins!!!" he burst out of nowhere with his arms wide open but,

"Touch me and I'll send your soul into the fiery depths of Tartarus when you die," growled Lady Mila.

King Rai stopped after gasping then he slouched in sadness. But then he turned around to hug Lady Aurelia instead but,

"Eww get away from me, old geezer," said Lady Aurelia in disgust.

Then Darius laughed with the goddesses. I just narrowed my eyes and thought about "how" their relationship as father and daughters is going on. I also find it surprising that the strongest person in the Realm is like this: Being so soft around his daughters.

Then King Rai sobbingly said, "I just got a scoff of anger from your sister Danae before she left and the two of you hate me. I had no choice to send her because she's the Goddess of the Sea and she's the only one who can hydrate the planet!"

"Well, we have reasons for hating you," said Lady Mila.

"Yeah," agreed Lady Aurelia. "You always forget to bring us souvenirs when you return from other planets."

"Or how you put a burden on us in watching our House. We're just eleven-year-old girls, and we should be spending time with friends."

"You always break your promises!" yelled Lady Aurelia.

"You're not even at the time I wanted you to see me win the place for the Third Seats for Olympus Mons last year," said Lady Mila in a widened eye while looking at her left and she looks very angry. "Even Lord Narada was there for Juliet..."

Darius enjoyed the show while I realized that last year was the first I saw Lady Mila and Lady Aurelia back at the playground. Maybe that's why Lady Mila looks so depressed and angry back then...

"It's always Enzo that is always there for us!"

Then King Rai looks like he's about to cry as he sobbed while reasoning, "I have to because it's-"

"Your job and duty and for the Realm, blah blah blah," mocked Lady Mila unreasonably.

"My life is like growing up without a father!"

"Only Enzo knows how we feel."

"Yeah!"

Then King Rai has his face against the floor while sobbing, "I'm sorry..."

"Yes, you 'are' sorry," said Lady Mila in a cold tone.

"Hmmph!" scoffed Lady Aurelia while looking at the side and folding her arms.

King Rai continued to sob on the floor for another minute until he slowly rose with tears coming from his eyes as he sobbed, "I welcome.... you..... boys to.... our House.... House Hayashi...."

Darius laughed as he said, "Pathetic!" then the two goddesses laughed.

I bowed down with my forehead on the floor and yelled, "I feel more than welcome to be in your presence, Your Majesty. Don't be sad because, to put in other words, your daughters say they hate you but deep inside they love you!"

"WHAT?!!" the goddesses reacted violently.

"No!" yelled Lady Mila and I see her very flustered.

"You're wrong, Leonide!" shouted Lady Aurelia at me.

I pointed at her and laughed, "Yes! You finally said my name!"

"Aha.....Ahahahahaha!" laughed Darius while looking up and folding his arms. Then she pouted her lips in anger and electrocuted him. "Eeeekkk!!" he screamed.

"Aaaargh!!!" cried King Rai as he hugged me. "You're like the son I never had!!"

Damn, his tears are damping my shoulders! My chin was over his left shoulder and I see the two goddesses frowning at me. Lady Aurelia has her eyes glowing red and red electric arcs surrounded her body. Lady Mila widened her eyes as it became full black, she gritted her teeth, and black smoke covered her arms.

I felt alarmed so I pushed myself away from King Rai and he held my shoulders with his strong hands then he looked at me in the eyes and said, "But I never wished that before any of my wonderful daughters! They are everything to me. I can die proudly in just being their father!"

I saw the goddesses calmed down with a poker face as they looked at him. Then King Rai continued as he turned, "I don't mind if you don't love me as much as I love you, my daughters! Just being your Dad, I can become the God of All!" He tried to hug both of them and they let him. They were smiling as they have their chins on their father's shoulders.

Then Lady Mila opened her eyes to look at me so I said without a sound but only with the movement of my lips, "You're welcome." Then they frowned at me as they pushed King Rai away from them and he fell on the floor.

"A-ha.....ahahahaha!" laughed Darius and this time, Lady Mila blew him away with her black smoke.

Then King Rai sat up with a bright smile and a good mood as he turned to face us. Darius returned to his place and glared at the two goddesses. They glared back at him.

"Alright," said King Rai as he cleared his throat and that's when Lady Mila pulled out two pieces of golden paper then wrote on it. Maybe it is to record what King Rai will say. "You boys are now members of the House Hayashi. Our House is directly related to the Miyamoto Clan - which I gravely mourn their fall even to this day. We are one of the Eastern Clans that came here to unite with Olympus thousands of years ago. Although we blend with other Houses on Olympus, each of the Clans still retains their traditions and culture. If you think about it, Olympus is a place where you can see all of the cultures around the world. We deities value the traditions that have been passed onto us by our ancestors. So don't be surprised if you see different deities with different cultures because it is normal here on Olympus. So, as I said, you two are now part of our House... well, more like new members of the family!" He smiled. "And don't worry, because we will teach you our tradition so that you may live with us under one roof without trouble. Your Lady Mila and Lady Aurelia will teach you our traditions."

"What?!!!" violently reacted Lady Aurelia.

"I won't!" yelled Lady Mila.

Darius smirked at them and both of them glared at us.

Then their father spoke, "Well as you know, every child of an Olympian must have an assistant deity as a precaution if ever something happens to them. As I did for Lord Enzo when he first came here on Olympus about a year ago as the King of Olympus, I dubbed him as Lord Enzo, the God of Demigods, a member of the House Hayashi, and an assistant of Lady Danae; I will do the same for both of you. Lord Darius, the Second God of Demi-"

"Hold on!" said Darius while rubbing his chin and showing his palm to King Rai. "I want to be called, 'Darius, the God of Wrath!'"

"Lame...," said Lady Aurelia.

"What did you say?!!" he growled at her.

"Lame! Super lame!!!" She raspberried at him.

Darius growled but stopped when King Rai continued to speak: "Alright, that sounds good," he said while nodding. "There's no God of Wrath as far as I know, so I hereby dub you, Lord Darius, the God of Wrath, a member of the House Hayashi, and an assistant of Lady Aurelia."

"I'm gonna enjoy making you suffer," said Lady Aurelia.

"If you can!" said Darius. "My title sounds cool, doesn't it, Leonide?"

I answered, "Uh..."

"Lame!" she teased him again then they just glared at each other.

"And you," referred King Rai to me. "I hereby dub you, Lord Leonide, the God of Gravity, a member of the House Hayashi, and an assistant of Lady Mila." Lady Mila gave him the scroll and he signed it. "All of you are witnesses of the words I spoke and proceedings I did that led me to sign this document as proof of my decision as the King of Olympus." He showed it to us. "Here is the document that I honestly and rationally signed with my signature. It will be passed on to the archives of Olympus where it will be assessed and approved by Lord Seok, the God of Wisdom, as the secretary of Olympus and one of the Third Seaters. Tomorrow we will uphold the ceremony here in our House after Lord Seok approves the document and as a ceremony to welcome both of you here on Olympus and to our House."

He bowed and I bowed down while poking Darius to do the same and so he did.

"Congratulations!" said King Rai while clapping with her daughters. The goddesses are smirking at us.
