열여섯번째 왕관(16) Jae Kyung: Before answering y’all, I just want to ask what’s happening? What’s all the racket?   Hae Ryung: Eh? You haven’t read the news already? DISPATCH already posted it as flash as lightning. It even trended in Naver. You should check it out! Here, I’ll give you a link.   ----------   As soon as her colleague Hae Ryung sent the link from Naver, Jae Kyung immediately opened it. And as expected, she was surprised when she saw the news. She didn’t know why her hands were trembling. She unconsciously turned her head towards the second floor of the Crown Prince’s mansion. At that moment, she felt sad in the Crown Prince’s stead. [*BREAKING] TIARA’s Member Da Hyun and Double77’s Member U-Know are confirmed to be in a relationship   It has now been confirmed that Double77’s Member U-Know and TIARA’s Member Da Hyun are in a relationship.   The news outlet DISPATCH published the report at midnight KST stating that according to their investigation, they exclusively reporting that Da Hyun and U-Know are dating.   On the same day, both Da Hyun and U-Know’s agencies STARISE Entertainment and ED Entertainment confirmed that after having their sunbae-hoobae relationship, they recently began dating.   “They’re already 6 months dating and getting stronger. Who would think that they’re just rivals in music award shows, they’re both competitive since they’re both leaders in their respective groups and now they’re dating each other? We’re also happy that fans love the couple since they both ship them together and they’re happy for them.” Prince Yi Eul turned off his phone and clenched his fingers around it. He slipped his right hand on inside his slacks’ pocket and faced the glass wall of his room. His jaw clenched as soon as he felt the heating frustrations inside him. He felt so betrayed. “I’m here. In Incheon. This will be the only chance we’ll go talk to each other.” As soon as Da Hyun informed her about her whereabouts, Prince Yi Eul went to Incheon. Since he couldn’t go alone because he’s sure as heck that his bodyguards will tail him especially that Do Wan and Peter were already particular with his safety after the attempt assassination on him so he decided to rent a whole restaurant and have dinner there as an alibi. He took Jae Kyung with him even if he finds the girl’s presence annoying since first of all, she’s a journalist and second of all, she never listens to him and just does want she wants and always defy him. When he already got the chance to slip away to the restroom, he went straight ahead to Da Hyun who’s standing at the back, isolated portion of the restaurant. He couldn’t help but smile. It took him so long to meet her in private again. Did he mention that he’s in love with her? Because yes, he’s been in love with her ever since they met in high school. She’s like his first love. The only person that he accepted in his life and his heart. The only person he stayed loyal to her, all these years. He saw that Da Hyun is hugging herself and tried to soothe her arms so he walked towards her and gave her his overcoat. “Did I make you wait?” he asked. Da Hyun looked at him and shook her head, giving him a soft smile. “No, you didn’t. You just came right on time.” Prince Yi Eul stared at her for a second and gently grabbed her towards him and gave her a hug. He missed this, he missed the feeling of wrapping his arms around her for a hug, he missed her so much. “I miss you… Da Hyun-ah,” he murmured in her ear. He felt her hands grabbing his sides and felt her breath over his shoulder. “I miss you too.”   He closed his eyes and formed his right hand into a fist, recalling their conversation that night in Incheon.   “I know it’s hard. I love you, Eul-ah. I really do. But you see, our situation right now is hard. But please bear with me, bear with me Eul-ah. You can do it, right? You can still wait for me, right? Do you love me right?” “Tell me I’m the only man in your life, Da Hyun-ah. Tell me.” “Yes, you are. You’re the only man in my life, Eul-ah. Nothing will change.” “Bullshit!” with so much anger, he threw the phone, crashing it to the ground. He looked up at the ceiling and sighed. “You always love betraying me, Da Hyun…” …and like a lovesick fool, I’m such a masochist for always believing you and giving you chances. “f**k. You’re such a liar.” “Your Royal Highness, this is your schedule for tomorrow,” Jae Kyung kept on scrolling on the tablet she’s holding as the Crown Prince sat on his room’s couch silently. “At 3PM, you’re going to visit the officials in the White House before proceeding to the symposium. This is an international symposium and you’ll be the guest speaker along with the Prince of England. At 4PM, you’ll be going to have your archery session. At 7PM, you’ll…” she looked at Prince Yi Eul who’s now drinking whiskey, bottoms up. “Hey, Your Highness!” Prince Yi Eul kept on drinking so she stopped him for his fourth shot. “Aish, yah, jeonha! Geumanhae!” the Crown Prince just stared at her so she continued talking. “You’re not even listening to me so why did you make me read your schedules and appointments? You’re so annoying. You’re such a pain in the neck. Aish, yah! Geumanhae! Yah, geumanhae ssibalssaekkiya!” Prince Yi Eul stared at her. She gasped when she realized that she freaking cursed at him so she looked at him, apologetic. “I-I di—I didn’t mean to curse on you. It’s just that—” “Are you mad?” Jae Kyung was surprised when Prince Yi Eul asked her in such a husky, deep voice. “Why are you mad at me?” What the f**k is wrong with him? “J-Jeonha, are-are you drunk? Already? But you haven’t taken your dinner!” Jae Kyung was about to touch his forehead when he suddenly held her wrist that made her flinch and gasp. “Do you hate me?” Prince Yi Eul’s deep voice cracked when he asked that Jae Kyung couldn’t help but stare at him in awe. “Gosh, you’re drunk as f**k,” she looked at the center table and realized that the Crown Prince already drunk five bottles of liquor already—and those were really alcoholic and expensive. “Do you hate me too…?” Prince Yi Eul asked once again, and this time, his flushed face softened as Jae Kyung kept staring at him. I hate you. Yes, I do. I do hate you because there are so many things to deal with you. “No, I don’t. I don’t hate you, Your Highness,” she responded. A smile flashed on Prince Yi Eul’s face as he spoke. “Then, shall you drink with me?” “Aaaaaahhhh~” Jae Kyung slammed the bottle of liquor that she drunk on the table. She didn’t know how the f**k she agreed to drink with the prince, but one thing she knew is she’s now drinking with him. They didn’t realize that they’re actually sitting on the carpet, face to face. “Hic! Why the long face, you dumbass of a prince~? Stawp dat~ it doeshnt suits yow~” “Hey~” Prince Yi Eul pointed at her drunkenly. “I ashked you chu drink with me~ I didn’t tell you to drop the formalities, you i***t~! I am the Crown Prince of South Korea! Bow down to me~!” “Jeonha gaebbul. You’re the only prince—no, scratch that—you’re the only person that I find too hard to deal with,” Jae Kyung snorted as she poured another liquor on her glass and drunk it, bottoms up. “We’re all human beings~! There’s no higher and lower! We breathe, eat, sleep, live and poop~!” Prince Yi Eul cringed. “Poop~! You’re so disgusting! Hic!” “And of course, we both love~” Jae Kyung poured liquor on the Crown Prince’s glass. “There’s no higher or lower social status when it comes to love~” Prince Yi Eul fell silent and stared at the liquor on his glass. Jae Kyung drunkenly stared at her and sighed. “I dun wanna invade your privacy and even if I’m a journalist and you hate me because of it *hic* but I just couldn’t help but be concerned after *hic* after I read that article about Da Hyun,” she said as she drank again and hiccupped. “Even if you’ll not gonna say it because you’re a boastful, prideful and arrogant prince, I know you’re hurting.” “Is that so?” “Of course, you boastful, prideful, cold, arrogant prince.” Yi Eul drank the liquor Jae Kyung gave him. After he sighed and hiccupped, he spoke. “Am I not good enough?” “Attitude wise, you’re not,” Jae Kyung responded. Even if she’s drunk, she’s still feisty. “Neo jinjja gaejassik.” “You—” “But above all, you’re good enough as a person,” Jae Kyung poured another liquor on both of their glasses. “Maybe there’s a problem in her that either you’re not involved or partly involved. People tend to have unsatisfactory tendencies, or maybe they just can’t sacrifice and do anything for love or because they just fall out of love.” Prince Yi Eul kept silent and just listened to Jae Kyung babblings. “Or because you’re not really meant for each other…” “But I love her…” “But does she still felt that way…? Or she’s just wanna feel you hopeful for her?” when the Crown Prince stayed silent, she shook her head and drank once again. “Love is complicated. It’s only good in fiction.” “What about you, Jae Kyung?” Prince Yi Eul asked. “Are you willing to do and sacrifice everything for love?” “Of course,” Jae Kyung answered, in all honesty. “After all, love without experiencing pains and sacrifices and without taking a risk is not love after all.” “Huh…” Prince Yi Eul muttered as he drank. Jae Kyung snorted. “Why are you asking like you’ll gonna make me fall for you?” Prince Yi Eul averted his stare from his glass to Jae Kyung who’s now blushing in so much drunkness. “Why? Are you willing to take the risk?” Jae Kyung drunkenly blinked at him and snorted. “I hate you, why would I?” “Yeah, I hate you too,” after he responded, Prince Yi Eul grabbed Jae Kyung for a heated kiss. Jae Kyung didn’t know what’s happening and how the f**k she’s now sitting on the Crown Prince’s lap. She couldn’t think straight anymore because of too much drunkness and because Prince Yi Eul is already devouring her lips. They both stopped kissing when they felt like they couldn’t breathe anymore. “f**k, why did you kiss me?” Prince Yi Eul asked dumbly. “The f**k, you’re the one who kissed me, you i***t,” Jae Kyung laughed as he slightly pulled his hair. “Then, shall we do it again?” They stared at each other’s drunken eyes and flushed faces and they simultaneously leaned to each other’s faces and devouring each other’s lips as if they’re lovers, hungry for each other. That night, things shouldn’t happen to two mortal enemies.
