사십팔의 왕관 (46)       “Finally, I could access my FictionPad right now,” Jae Kyung sighed in content. She’s currently inside her room designated for her (which the Crown Prince chose, by the way) plopping herself on her bed. She’s not really used to the modern-traditional ambiance of her room but she found it fancy since it’s huge, unlike her apartment’s room. But, of course, she found it strange that she was staying all by herself since she got used to having a roommate who, by the way, was her best friend. Though she’ll gonna admit, she finds it peaceful yet lonely as well. She shouldn’t be choosy or what but she somehow felt homesick. Jae Kyung shook her head. “I shouldn’t think about it anymore. It made me lonelier. I have to update right now it’s been weeks already.” She opened her laptop, which with the help of Do Wan, she got the laptop and started logging into FictionPad. She excitedly clicked the ‘My Story’ button and clicked a new a new chapter for ‘Dealing Prince Arrogant’ but she suddenly stopped. “Damn,” she couldn’t help but murmur as she facepalmed. When she already had a chance to update... She’s having a goddamn writer’s block. “How am I supposed to update in this condition?!” she asked herself, groaning as she scratched her head. “I’m too tired to re-read the whole stuff either… aish. Jinjja jajeungna.” She paused as the scene earlier flashed in her mind. “Just bear with it. We already have 183 days left before the contract ends. Once we’ll finish and achieve our own goals, we could end everything like nothing happened.” “We could just live there for a while. Damn, it’s not like we’re going to last, though.” She heaved a very deep sigh as she put her hand over her chest, trying to breathe in and out calmly. She felt that pang inside her chest once again. “Seriously, what am I feeling this again?! This is really annoying. Tsk.” She paused once again. “Wait…” As if it was a cue, she furiously typed the words that came to her mind on her laptop. It was overflowing. The ideas were overflowing inside her head that she felt so overwhelmed about it. “This is ridiculous,” she thought when the face of Crown Prince Yi Eul flashed in her mind. “This is ridiculous that because of that guy…”     Jae Kyung flinched as soon as she opened her eyes because of the knock on the door. She realized that she fell asleep with hanbok on. Damn, she looked ridiculous. “Wake up, you lazy bum,” Prince Yi Eul, who was now leaning on the door frame with his arms over his chest, said as he looked at his wife’s—oh, fake wife—“just-woke-up” face. “You actually made me come here to fetch you for dinner because the servants were scared to wake you up.” She looked dumbly at her laptop which, she was actually thankful that she published the latest chapter before dozing off. She, then, looked at the Crown Prince with her squinty eyes due to sleep. “What time is it?” “It’s already eight in the evening,” Prince Yi Eul responded. “I slept that long?” she asked, bewildered. Prince Yi Eul snorted as he gestured his hand to her. “Dress up. You actually looked dumb already.” Jae Kyung consciously looked at herself before looking back at Prince Yi Eul, glaring. “I’m not! I actually felt beautiful in my hanbok even if I’m uncomfortable wearing it!” And this is because of you, you damn bastard. “Pfft. Whatever. Dress up already. Your clothes are already inside the closet. Dress up and go downstairs. Dinner’s ready, gongjumama,” Prince Yi Eul responded as he gave her a smug smile before closing the door, leaving Jae Kyung who’s now standing on her feet, looking at the door in awe. “Your Highness,” she muttered to herself. “He called me ‘Your Highness’.” She felt her cheeks heating up that she couldn’t help but cup her cheeks to soothe them. “G-Geuneun nareul ‘gongju-mama’rago bulrottta…” (*He called me ‘Your Highness’.) She suddenly shook her head, dismissing the scene earlier. “Get a hold of yourself, Kim Jae Kyung! Stop blushing! Don’t blush because of what he said to you! Aigoo, *i mongchonghan gyejibae,” she shook her head once again before proceeding to her walk-in closet and change her clothes. (*you stupid girl)     The meal was delicious, Jae Kyung will admit. With all the five star-rating dishes with a mix of fancy Korean dishes in front of them, she could actually fill her stomach to her heart’s content. She filled her mouth with food, letting the delicious food melt in her mouth that she did care less about the bewildered, amused, astonished, and weirded-out expressions around her, especially from the Crown Prince but yes, she did care less. She’s already hungry since she couldn’t eat well at lunch earlier. “Hey, slow down, Jae Kyung. You might choke yourself up,” Prince Yi Eul couldn’t help but comment. “Whast? U shaying shometheeng?” she asked with her mouth full. Prince Yi Eul just shook his head and just focused on his beef steak. “Anyway, you should rest early tonight. We have an appointment tomorrow and you’re actually coming with me.” Jae Kyung looked at him. She swallowed her food first before speaking. “Yeah, yeah. I know. I may be your wife in the eyes of the whole countrymen but I am still your personal assistant.” “Yeah,” Prince Yi Eul responded as he nodded. “But tomorrow’s appointment, you’re not my personal assistant. You’ll be Crown Princess Kim Jae Kyung, my wife. We’re actually having an interview tomorrow. So, ready yourself.” Jae Kyung looked at her side and saw Secretary Jeong giving her a white folder so she wiped her hands with the table napkin on her lap and accepted the white folder only to find that it’s actually an interview script. “That’s the possible questions that will come out in the interview tomorrow,” said Prince Yi Eul. “You have to memorize it then we’re going to practice it tomorrow. The interview is at one in the afternoon.” She suddenly fell silent as she read the said script. The only noise that they could hear was the noise from Prince Yi Eul’s fork and knife.     “This sounds like a perfect love story,” Jae Kyung muttered as soon as she finally finished reading the script that the Crown Prince gave to her. “If only the people involved are really in love with each other.” Once again, Jae Kyung held her chest, feeling her heartbeat suddenly became fast with the thought of the Crown Prince.     “It’s not like we’re going to last, though.” Jin Hee already saw that coming. She knew he’s going to say that. They’re faking everything, especially their relationship. But somehow, she couldn’t dictate what she should really feel about it. She knew damn well that she’s dealing with an arrogant of a prince. She felt suffocated as she felt that pang inside her chest. “No… I shouldn’t…” she heaved a sigh as she spoke. “This can’t be…”     — Dealing Prince Arrogant, Chapter 40
