마흔 먼저 왕관 (41)       [NEWS] Prince Yi Eul 'thrilled' after announcing he is to marry Kim Jae Kyung   Prince Yi Eul and his fiancée, former journalist of Seoul Times’ Kim Jae Kyung are set to marry on Monday after announcing their engagement in public after months of their relationship. The prince said he was “thrilled” to be marrying the former journalist who also saved his life from the past months after he went home—and revealed their relationship which actually started months ago, and the couple presented themselves to the world with a 40-minute press conference at Gyeokbokgung Palace. On Tuesday, the Royal Palace and the Royal House of Yi announced that the wedding will be held in the huge Royal House of Yi and details of the first royal wedding that the whole South Korea will ever see, that Miss Kim will undertake with the prince as she is quickly assimilated into the royal household.     Prince Yi Eul sighed as he put down his tablet on his table and stood up. He faced the glass wall and looked at the view outside his room, totally ignoring the servants who actually delivered his attire and everything he’s going to wear for the wedding. “Thrilled, huh?” Time really did pass faster and there’s so much happened. Now, I’m going to get married. Secretary Jeong couldn’t help but stare at the Crown Prince. He’ll admit that what’s happening right now to the Crown Prince was his fault because first of all, he gave the suggestion to Prince Yi Eul to hire someone to pretend as his fiancée—which turns out, it was Jae Kyung—but he didn’t expect that there are turns of events which led Prince Yi Eul to marry Jae Kyung according to the Queen’s ordeal. “Jeonha…” “I know what you’re thinking and I don’t need an apology. There’s nothing worth apologizing for at all. As you said, Her Majesty’s words are absolute. We just did the thing that pleases her. And besides, you don’t need to worry,” Prince Yi Eul said. “Banpumhal su eopsseumnida.” (*There’s no turning back.)       - Their love story is like a fairy tale .. I’m so happy for them !!   - A true Cinderella story and I’m really here for it !! ㅋㅋㅋ   - Crown Prince Yi Eul is so handsome !! Aaaaah !! His soon-to-be wife is so lucky to have him !!   - Can we also have a holiday for this wedding as well ?? ㅋㅋㅋ  Gladly appreciate it ~ !! ㅋㅋㅋ   - Crown Prince Yi Eul and Miss Kim Jae Kyung. Wish Prince Yi Eul the joy of having someone who truly loves him, who can be with him all the way to building a family and family life Prince Yi Eul deserves to have.   - Congratulations to the beautiful couple !!   - My five-year-old daughter is devastated she was been convinced for a while now that she was going to marry Prince Yi Eul !! ㅋㅋㅋBut still, congratulations to the couple ~ !!   - It doesn’t really matter if she’s a commoner .. Love has no boundaries !! Prince Yi Eul is going to marry her because he loves her the way she also loves and protects him so I will always be happy and support the couple !! Congratulations, Prince Yi Eul !!     “Love has no boundaries, huh?” Jae Kyung put her phone down as she leaned her back on the headrest of her bed. It’s not really her bed since she’s staying in one of the rooms of the Royal House of Yi. The Crown Prince Yi Eul is the one who actually went home to his mansion and they’ll not going to meet until the wedding day. She felt so exhausted right now. She’s exhausted both physically and mentally.   “I still couldn’t believe it up until now, Jae Kyung-ah. Like, you just saved the Crown Prince a few months ago, you worked as his personal assistant and now, you’ll be married to him a month from now. Gosh, did you save the nation in your past life? You’re so damn lucky!” “You’re living like a fairytale, much luckier than Cinderella since you’re also marrying a prince, A CROWN PRINCE. Damn, Jae Kyung. You could actually pass as one of the Disney Princesses, you know?”   Recalling what her best friend Hae In said to her, she couldn’t help but chuckle sarcastically. “A normal person could really think they’re lucky to be married to a Prince,” Jae Kyung said. “Couldn’t blame them because every girl is dreaming to be married to their prince charming and have their own happily ever after. Just like how Cinderella got her true love and got married to a prince even if she’s a poor orphan girl,” she looked at the window and looked at the moon shining in the peaceful night sky. The cold night breeze caressed her warm cheeks. It somehow made her relaxed albeit she has rumbling inside her mind. “I might be happy as well if that’s the case… because I’ll have my own happily ever after that is worth reading for everyone.” “If only… if only if it’s not fake…”     Jae Kyung just stayed in the middle of the room, sitting in silence. She’s really uncomfortable with the Wonsam (The bride wore an elaborate topcoat with flowing sleeves over her other clothes. Similar to the costume worn by queens and noblewomen of the time, a Wonsam was made with blue silk on the inside and red silk outside. The front and back had embroidered flowers representing wealth, longevity, and nobleness. The billowing sleeves had blue, yellow, red, fabrics, with a wide strip of white at the cuffs, which also had colorful embroidery.) she’s wearing as well as she finds everything—the yongdam and daenggi (The bride's hair was pulled back tightly and tied at the back of her neck. A yongjam (long hairpin with a dragon head at one end) was placed through her tied hair. A dot'urak daenggi (a long, wide piece of dark silk, embroidered with gold lettering) attached to the jokduri and hung down the bride's back. A thinner ap' daenggi hung from each side of the yongjam, resting along the front of the wonsam)—that was placed in her head uncomfortable and heavy for her head but she silently bearing for it. For the sake that she’ll get over with it. As soon as the door of her room opened, the servants greeted her and spoke. “Are you ready, Your Highness?” She slowly opened her eyes and with a blank expression, she responded. “I’m ready.”     “Tomorrow, we will get married and in the eyes of people, we’ll be a happily married couple for six months. Six months.” “Six months, we’ll have to do what we must and desired to do. We both win in both situations before we part ways.” “And in those six months, we have one rule to attain and that rule is absolute.” Prince Yi Eul and Jae Kyung stared at each other’s eyes. “We’ll never fall in love with each other.”
