“Why are you looking at me like that?” she smiled disdainfully, causing Caleb to sink even deeper into embarrassment.

Of course, he had to feel that way. He shamelessly cornered her into danger on orders from Theodore Lorelai and, because the results weren't as they wanted, they sent someone to harm her on the road — they messed up her car and the brakes failed, causing her to hit a big tree and the car exploded.

Fucking hell.

“You shamelessly do that to me, yet you still throw me a hateful look — I've never seen someone so bold as you” she said evilly, then stood in front of him arrogantly, “if you weren't a trusted informant of The Orphic, I might have ripped apart your flesh and give it to the dogs.”

Truly, her hands were itching to kill him slowly and mutilate him, divide him into pieces and then give the meat to the dogs — ah or, torture him to death and throw him into the sea with a large rock as ballast tied to his leg.

So then no one can find him.

That sounds really nice.

Unfortunately, all of The Orphic would disagree — including the four leaders.

“I'm going to keep my mouth shut about this, and I hope you don't repeat this sort of thing — it's really great, even for you.”

The confidence that Caleb and Theodore had was too high, thinking they would easily kill her that way. In reality, they could only dream of getting rid of her from The Orphic. Yes, she knew that Theodore felt intimidated by her position in The Orphic.

As a consigliere, of course, she would often work closely with the leaders — her job was always with the four of them, as she was their second in command and Theodore was intimidated because she always had contact with Mason Lorelai.

“I never thought he would do something like that” he said as he turned down the report he received, “but what I didn't expect the most was that you forgave him. Don't tell me you forgive him because he is part of The Orphic?”

Giuliana's chewing stopped with the cutlery floating in the air, then slammed it onto the plate. “ Remember it made me angry and lost my appetite”.

“So?”

“I can't sacrifice an informant like him until I find someone new, at least one that's close to Caleb's good performance — we can't sacrifice The Orphic for our own sake, can't we?”

It's The Orphic they talked about and it's clear that they can't sacrifice it.

“Still, I think you're getting softer now”, Sebastian mocked her, again, and she hated it. “Giuliana Alderidge is lenient and very considerate because of Theodore Lorelai.”

“Stop that before this plate floats in your face.”

Really, sometimes Sebastian was so annoying to her like this and she started to think he deserved a good punch to wake him up — thinking about it made her grin, “Sebastian, you come with me on the pest control tonight.”

The conversation ended with Sebastian whining all day long.

"Who hurt you, Giuliana?"

Logan had come at the wrong time, he had come when her head was in bandages and her wrists being treated - really, very unfortunate for her to be sitting still as she racked her brains to come up with a plausible excuse.
