Chapter Seven Maisie “Oh come on, Maisie. The only way you’ll make more friends around here is to actually go somewhere to meet people,” Susannah Gilmore said. “I see plenty of people here,” I countered. Susannah rested her chin in her hand and glared at me. “I thought I was stubborn. Then I met you.” A laugh bubbled up as I looked across the counter at her. “You are really stubborn.” Susannah rolled her eyes and sighed. “Come out for dinner with me.
