Chapter 8

“so, what you’re going to act like I’m not here” I said to James as he jumps on the couch and turns the tv on.

“You know what what you want, I’m done proving myself to you and Adriana” I said as I head out and walk to school.

“Hey” says Liam as he walks beside me.

“Leave me alone, I can’t deal with you right now” I said just pissed at everything.

“I will tell them we didn’t kiss but” he said as I stop and turn to him.

“Why you wanted to ruin my life and so far, you did a pretty good job, why stop now” I asked confused at why he would change his mind.

“Because I know you’re in love with your cousin, and if you want that to stay quiet but you will be girlfriend” he said as I roll my eyes at him.

“No and I don’t love my cousin, no” I lied.

“I’m not stupid Penelope, the way you look at him when he’s around you, be my girlfriend for a month then we’re done I tell your best friend and your cousin we didn’t kiss and the girlfriend thing was just a deal” he said.

“What? And you think they’re going to believe you after we fake a relationship, get your facts right because that plan is the stupid” I said as I laughed.

“Fine you got until tonight if you don’t give me an answer, I will tell everyone and show them the chat between you and Adriana about James” he said as my eyes widen.

“You have my private chat” I said as we go inside the school.

“Fine, I will do just don’t show it to anyone” I said as I walked away from him. I stopped as I saw my best friend standing in front of me with her new friend and then she walks beside me.

After two class it was lunch, I ahead to the lunch whole and get my self-food. I sit down and go on my phone. Until Liam sits next to me.

“Where are you going” he says as I get up and walk away.

“Far away from you” I said as he follows me.

“Come on girlfriend, let’s show them I’m not single” he said as he laughs.

“But you are single, and don’t call me your girlfriend” I said as I continue to walk until I find myself outside the school gates.

“Hey James” Liam says as James walks towards us and Liam grabs my hand and holds it tight, then James stopped and looks at me then he’s best friend then he continues walking to us.

“You two huh” James said as he points at our handholding.

“Yeah I asked her today and she said yes” Liam said as I let go and run inside and go to the toilet and god, I want to kill him, I then heard a footstep coming into the toilet.

“I can’t believe she would do that to you” said a girl.

“She said she didn’t kiss him and she’s always with him” then I recognise the voice it was Adriana.

“Oh well she’s a b***h and you need to get a new boyfriend,” said the other.

“Oh, how about James the hottest guy” said the girl again.

“No, he’s Penelope’s cousin and he would not go for me” said Adriana.

“Honey he will, I will make sure he does” said the girl as they walk out the toilet, I get up and wait for 1 minute and leave. After two more class, it was home time, I had to walk it since James hates me and I don’t have anyone to walk with. After walking for a while, I finally get home and knocked on the door as James opens it.

“Hi” I said as I go in and shut the door behind me.

“I can’t believe you could date him after you bitched about not kissing him” he said as my eyes widen at the words and the anger that was coming out of him.

“Why do you care so much about it” I asked as I cross my arms together.

“Because I do, and because you lied to me, Penelope you looked me in the eye and still lied” he said as he walks to my face.

“I like him, actually I’m in love with him I lied because I didn’t want anyone to find out” I lied as he turns around and runs his finger through his hair and turns to look at me then he continues walks away.

“I thought so” I said as I walk to my room and slam the door.
