Troubled Love

“How can you even live with your cousin and still have feelings for him” Adriana said as we both continue to walk into the school, many people were around.   “I don’t know why I feel this way about him, he probably never will like me or even worst never notice me” I said, feeling sad and hurt.   “Honey I can’t help you with that” Adriana said as we both laughed.   We both reached our lockers, our lockers were next to each other, lucky huh? Well we had like 2 minutes to get to class or we will be marked late and must stay after school with the annoying popular people, and the geeks like would who thought they would be getting into troubles?    “You’re not late,” said Ms Lawrence as the class turned their attention to us.   “Take a picture it last longer” Adriana said as we both laugh and sit beside each other.   “All of you will be writing me story based the Salem trails” said the teacher.   “Now let us get our attention back to learning what happened in the Salem trails” said the teacher as she turns to the broad and shows the class a video about the Salem trail on YouTube.   The teacher teaches us the same subject every year, it’s like she loves it so much that her life depends on it, maybe it’s because she feels lonely after her husband died, We feel sorry for her but that doesn’t mean she has to take it out on everyone.   “Earth back to Penelope” Adriana said as she clicks her thumb and her finger together, making an annoying sound.   Lunch had arrived.   “Here comes your boyfriend” Adriana said as she leaves the table and goes to our other friends.   “Hey babe” I said as I smile.   “I missed you so much” Sam said as he places a kiss on my cheek.   “Me too” I said as I fake a smile.   I always had a feeling that he was cheating on me, but I never cared until it felt like he wasn’t put any effort into our relationship.   “Dinner at mine, later at 4:20” Sam said as he waits for me to say yes or no to it.   “Yeah sure” I said as he leaves, and I go back to Adriana and my other friends.   “Lizzy, it’s been a long time” I said as I got up to hug her.   “Yeah, how are you guys” Lizzy asked as she keeps on looking back at my boyfriend.   “We’re fine” I said as the bell rings and we head out to our next class.   After two more class, the school was done for the day. Adriana went home with her brother and I got a ride from my cousin. I was sitting on front seat next to him. He was 18, saving up to go to college because his parents wasted his college feud on his older brother who turned out to be not going to college, so he had thrown a big party and bought drinks and other things and wasted all the money. So, he left them, and my parents allowed him to stay with us for as long as he wants.   “Are you okay” James asked confused at my facial expression.    “I am fine, how is it going saving up money” I asked.   “It’s going good” James said as he looks at me and smiled.   “What’s that one for” I asked, as I was running out of things to say.   Pointing at a tattoo on his hand. He had this little arrow and symbols on his fingers.   “Oh, this one, I was at a party got drunk and thought to get another tattoo was a nice idea” James said pointing at arrows on his right hand, I couldn’t help but laugh.    “You guys why is it that you guys decide on getting drunk and getting a tattoo, things I will never understand” I said as he laughs, making me laugh with him.   “We’re here” James says as we both get out. I quickly dress into something else and head to my boyfriend’s house.   “Where are you going” James asked as he stands on the door away.   “I have a date, so do you mind” I said as I wait for him to move.    “Don’t be late, I wouldn’t cover for you if you are” he said as he smiles. I have never been this close to him, my heart raced faster than anything.   “And don’t do something I wouldn’t do” James said as he moves away from the door.   “I wouldn’t think about doing something you would do” I said as he laughs.   After walking all the way to Sam’s place. I finally get there. I knock on the door no one answers, Then I knock again.   “Alright, calm down” Sam says as he opens the door angrily.   “Sorry babe, I thought you were someone else” Sam said, who was he expecting? I wondered.   “It’s okay,” I said as he held out his hand and I place my hand on him as we walked in the house and he shuts the door behind.
