Chapter 14, The Spy:
It took most of the next day to save Xorbis’s ship from the sand. The men and women of the Phoenix parked it at the water’s edge before Xorbis guided the craft into the water and, by himself, used a huge crane to remove the wheels from the undercarriage. The ship would not be the fastest in the water, but it should be able to keep up with the Phoenix.
Darkness came quickly in this part of the world, and before Major and Minor reached the peak of their travel, the sounds of the hunting cave killers were heard drifting out of the jungle.
