Chapter 10 - Kisses and scores
Maria’s POV:
A few days passed by since the incident, I just went really quiet and numb. Amber and Monica tried to help me but it didn’t work out. I didn’t want to talk to anyone. Even in classes, I stayed completely silent. The only time I spoke was when I called my mother every evening. I lied and told her everything was perfectly great here.
But she had no idea about reality.
The English literature class was going on, and I was focused on even though Monica kept disturbing me. She was sitting beside me and we were reading a play. It was really good but Monica didn’t like it so she was making funny faces and doing things every bored person does.
Suddenly, the door opened and the everyone stopped reading.
