Hazel’s POV
I grab my small bag pack as I head out of the door.
I get into my car and as I start the car, I check the address and it is near the beach. The rooftop near the beach would be great for the brunch.
I put it on the playlist for driving.
He will tell me the truth about yesterday because he did text me that he enjoyed my company. I don’t trust him much but let’s see. Is he the good guy or bad?
When I reach the address I call Jack-Ass, “Hey I’m here.” I say as he picks up the call.
“Okay, I will be down in a minute.” He replies.
He exits the main door after a minute.
He tries to enter the car and the doors are locked and I forgot to unlock the door, “Hey!”
“Yeah sorry.” I reply as I unlock the door and he gets in.
“Hi, when did you get home?” Just about the time when I texted you.
“Oh, great. Should we leave?” I say as I start the car.
“Yes, sure. When did you get back home?” He asks me.
“Just before Abi and Noah left for New York.” I tell him.
“Yeah, about her, Abi came in at Mike’s place with some flowers.” He speaks.
“Yes, you told me and maybe Noah made her buy the flowers.” I reply.
“She is a great person, but Andrew crossed the line.” He replies as we stop at the signal.
“Yes, she is.” I explain.
“So, where are we going for brunch?” Jack-Ass asks me.
“I guess you would like this place.” I reply as I race the car as the signal turns green.
“So did you get any sleep yesterday?” He asks.
“Yeah, I slept like a baby.” I tell him.
“After everything that happened?” He asks me with a really confused look which kind of scares me.
“See that the thing I can’t remember a single thing about yesterday just remember we saw Abi passed out on Cody and we helped him.” I reply.
“So, yesterday you spilled a drink on freshmen because they were trash-talking Abi they even called you her little bitch.” He replies.
“What did I do?” I ask him and my expression gives him the sign that I really am disturbed by that.
He continues, “Yeah, how much I know is that Zack took you to meet his friends and when you went there all were just trash-talking about you and Abi, how she got a great friend like you”
The whole ride he explains what happened.
As I park in the parking lot he is done telling me everything
“How much time are you going to be like this?” He asks me.
Instead of replying to him I get out of the car and as I shut the door he speaks “Hey!” and then he exits the car.
I start walking towards the elevator and he catches up with me and speaks, “You could speak you know that right?”
I lock the car and we continue to walk towards the elevator.
“So, yesterday was a disaster.” I reply.
“Yeah, it was.” He agrees when we get into the elevator.
“So what do you meant by the text you sent me?” I ask him.
“After you poured your drink on the girl we both walked and were together was about around 10-15 minutes that time we talked a little bit it was a great conversation and I genuinely liked your company.” He explains.
“Okay, then that’s okay because I thought something happened between yesterday and I was confused.” I reply.
“No no.” He replies as he chuckles.
“So you really like this place?” He asks as we both walk towards the rooftop.
“Good Afternoon Ma’am, Do you have a reservation, Ma’am?” The host asks.
“Yes, in the name of Miss. Hazel Malik.” I reply.
“Yes ma’am let me take you to your table.” The host speaks and we walk behind him.
“Here Ma’am” He speaks and leaves us.
“You and Abi have really boujee taste you know that right?” He asks.
“Yeah” I reply as I wink.
I continue, “Yes you might think we are the girls who are totally spoiled by their parents, yeah kind of but we just enjoy the food here and we are not those stupid bitches you know.”
“So, how was Abi today morning?” Jack-Ass asks me.
“She was good.” I reply.
“So what would you like to eat?” I ask.
At the same time I receive a text from Zack I check the text, “Good Morning Hazel, really excited about evening can’t wait to see you.”
“What the hell!” I say.
“What’s the matter?” Jack-Ass asks.
“I knew I was going for today party but was I going with Zack?” I ask out of confusion.
“Yes, you did agree to go with him tonight.” Jack-Ass confirms.
I would need a good dress if I’m making an appearance with Zack. I don’t like going shopping alone I don’t have any other option I would take Jack-Ass with me.
“So, what are you getting?” I ask him.
“I can’t decide to get me what you like here the most.” He replies.
“Okay” I reply as I go through the menu.
“Ignoring Zack?” He asks me.
“Nope, will reply to him after eating food. I read the text from the notifications.” I reply.
“Okay see that what I like about you and Abi is that you guys are clear about something’s and I really appreciate that.” He speaks.
“Thank you!” I reply.
Abi’s POV
After we leave the dinner Noah asks me as we are walking towards the car, “Want to drive?”
“Yeah!” I reply.
“Great because I’m feeling sleepy.” He replies.
We are just about an hour away from Noah’s place.
I put on the songs that I want to hear.
Yesterday was a disaster I should get my anger in control as I continue driving I get a call from Hazel.
“Hey!” I reply after I pick up the call.
“Hi, Where are you now?” Hazel asks me.
“Just about to enter New York.” I tell her.
“Oh great just wanted to check how you are doing.” Hazel replies.
“I’m fine I’m just driving as Noah is tired.” I reply.
“Okay then drive safe bye call me later if you have free time.” Hazel speaks.
“Will for sure, bye. Take care.” I reply and hang up the call.
