I affix my gaze to her beautiful face.
"I don't deserve you."
Part of me wonders, if I should have just left her be the first time I saw her. let her live her life in peace. But, who am I kidding there was no way I was gonna leave her there, she my own personal drug, and I'm hopelessly dependent on her.
I rest my hand on the side of her face, running my thumb over her cheek bone.
"Don't say that Emery, you're the best thing in my life. You are way more than I could have ever asked for. Life inherently is difficult, it tests us. You can't blame yourself for the actions of others."
I smile at her gently, greedily taking in the love she passes to me through the bond.
