I couldn't wrap my head around Emery, she was clearly in pain. Even though she doesn't bare my mark, I could feel it licking at my bones and muscles. Everything in me wanted to go to her, to make the pain stop. But, Emery would kill me in a heart beat. I knew he had been unfaithful to her, but I knew he still maintained feelings for her. Enough to keep her around at least.
