“So she gave it up.” Leo’s eyes flamed with accomplishment, I was angry and I tried to hold back my rage but I knew at some point I wouldn’t be able to. “No force, no tortures just trust. Like I said before that wasn’t needed, she trusts me,” I growled and he turned to me and smirked. “I believed you, I just needed a stress reliever,” he said and sipped the last of his whiskey. “You’re a MONSTER!”I yelled and barrelled towards him knocking him down. He just laughed and pulled himself up, he moved forward until he stood right in front of me. “I would have thought you would want revenge, after all they killed your family to. Or do you not remember,” he said and I glared. I closed my fist and threw it towards him connecting with his jaw; he stumbled back and glared at me. He spat out blood and turned to me with glowing red eyes. “I’ll never forget, but like you said THEY killed them. Not Iris, I show mercy to those who have lost just as much as us. Maybe you should do the same, because one day it may be you chain in silver,” I snarled. Before we could tear at each other we were interrupted by Willow, she walked in and bowed her head. “There’s someone waiting for you downstairs Alpha,” she said and walked out. I turned to Leo and he looked more confused than I did, I followed behind him as we walked downstairs. When we reach the front porch we saw two black range rovers, ten men stood guarding one. They were Royal wolves, which only meant one thing. They open the doors of the other car and Lena stepped out, she was Beta of the Royal pack. “Lena,” Leo said and she stepped towards us with a smile. “I thought I’d make a trip out here and offer my services along with these men, also here by a request,” she said and looked toward the car. “Liam can you help me with this its stuck,” Tyler said as she tried to pull her bag out of the back seat. Leo growled and walked towards Tyler, he was not happy. “Lucas it’s nice to see you again,” Lena said as she gave me a hug. Lena was a friend; maybe her being here will help me with Leo. “How is everyone?” I asked as I turned to her. “Esme is doing well, she’s currently trying to persuade Charles to think about Paris for their Holiday seeing as Gabriel’s living there. The girls miss you a lot, they told me to tell you that they are waiting for you to come have tea with them,” she chuckled and I joined. “They tried to sneak into our bags the night we were flying out,” she laughed. “And Gabriel?” “We haven’t heard from him in over a month, he’s still hurting we all are. In five days it marks the fifth year she’s been gone, we’re all holding together but its hard,” she said and I smiled offering her my understanding. “I told you Tyler to stay in New York its not safe here, why cant you just do as your told!” Leo yelled. “And why can’t you see that I miss my home! My family! I don’t care what you do Lee but I’m staying and that is it!” she yelled well mostly screamed. Everything fell to silence, me and Lena stood awkwardly to the side not knowing what to do. Leo’s eyes flickered back and forth to red so before he could blow his top in front of Lena I stepped in. “Lee why don’t you take a run ill handle this,” I said and he calmed down. He stared down Tyler but gave up and turned towards the woods, when he was gone I turned back to Tyler who had tears in her eyes. “Hey kiddo, its okay come here,” I said as I pulled her into my arms. She wrapped her arms around me and sniffled, I rubbed her back and kissed the top of her head. “I’ve missed you, and I know a lot of others do to.” “What’s wrong with him?” she asked and pulled away. “He’s just under a lot of stress lately but he’ll come around, I know he’ll apologise but while we wait why don’t we get you settled in,” I said as I smiled down at her. Willow came forward and Tyler ran into her arms, Willow took Tyler inside whilst members came for her luggage. “Well that went well,” Liam said as he joined Lena. “So you guys staying I’ll have a room made up for you,” I asked. “Should we stay? I mean Leos mood swings have me on edge,” Lena said and I chuckled and wrapped an arm around both of them. “Nonsense Leos just Leo and he likes you guys so you’ll be fine, It’s the rest of us that need to be worried.” *** Iris’s POV Dream Light. Its warmth covered me like a blanket; I trailed my fingertips along it as it pulled me up. I stood in a meadow that radiates with every colour of the rainbow, the sweet dew of spring lay against the flower petals of the primroses that bloom around me. I look to the sky as a flock of beautiful blue and red birds flew above me, as I watched their trail a house appeared in the distance. A pale white wrapped the foundation; four pearl pillars held the roof that lay on top of five story’s. I moved towards it until I stood on the front porch, the mahogany door drew open and slowly I made my way inside. It was made for fairy tales, soft carpets complemented the oak floors. Art hung on every wall that made me stop and appreciate its beauty, as I carried on into what I assumed to be the main hall I saw a portrait settled proudly above the fireplace. A perfect piece that held a family, the mothers eyes were a pool of blue and captivating. Her Raven hair held by a braid, her skin sun kissed and smooth and a smile that melted my heart. The father’s eyes were like mine, a forest green, his golden hair combed back and his smile matched the mothers. Below them stood two girls, beautiful they were and an equal amount of both parents besides from the raven hair. Twins, one with blue eyes and the other green. They looked so familiar; as I placed my hand against the canvas it began to burn. I stepped back only to watch as the flames climbed high setting fire to everything around me, the hot touch of its arms burnt my skin. The floor beneath me crackled and snapped open, I fell. Screams filled my head as I did, until my own joined them. ‘AMELIA!’ A voice pushed through the darkness, I couldn’t see anything. The screams became too much and I dropped into the abyss. *** I shot up as I was cover in ice water, the guard from yesterday stood above me with sadistic eyes. “That will be all, leave us.” I coward towards the far corner of the cell as he stood at the door, he growled and I wrapped my arms around my body that shook from the water. He was angry it showed in his eyes, as he swung the door open the vibrations ran through me. Tears of the known torture to come pooled down my cheeks, the sting of the wolf’s bane had remained. “So he’s working with the witches,” his eyes burned my skin. He knelt in front of me and I peeked up through my matted hair, his face held a firm look one I came to know in that room with the silver chains. “The markings you saw, I want you to draw them for me and do it quick before I become impatient,” he said and place a note pad and a pen in front of me. I slowly reached forward and took the pen and paper, as I tried to remember I drew the lines of three symbols I had seen. I did not know what they represented but I didn’t need to because he wanted them, when I finished I put the paper down and slid it towards him with a shaking hand. He gazed over the paper and he frowned, his eyes glanced up and me and I quickly turned my head away. “Just these three?” I nodded my head, as I didn’t want to anger him, he growled deep and my bones shook beneath my skin. “These are the devils symbols, which leads me to believe that not only has he made a pact with the witches but the devil himself,” he snarled and stepped towards me and grabbed me by my neck. I whimpered as pain shot through me, his eyes a pitch black and I crumbled beneath them. “Soon you will suffer the same fate as your Mate, but not yet,” he said as let me go and I sunk to the floor. He stormed out and slammed the iron door, the light went out and I was alone. I trembled with the cold; my hair now drenched lay like a curtain around me. That dream was different, I knew it meant something but it didn’t matter… Nothing did.
