Darkness.
That was all there was. The screams on my past and the pain in my heart, the torment that tortured me in the dark. The monster banging at my door and now lies beside me, with his hands stained with my blood. It was early morning now, but no light came to this side of the woods. Just storms and rain, I haven’t seen the sun in years I had forgotten what its touch felt like. I slowly slipped off the bed and pulled on what remained of my dress, I made not a single sound as I exited the room. I didn’t do dare wake him, for if I did my body would not heal for weeks. I crept though the halls like a mouse in the walls, I winced ever step I took. The wounds had not healed yet and I was worried that of how they’d look, the four words he had carved would forever be there. They would be a reminder that I was in fact his, that I belonged to him… That he owned me. He owned as an object, I was nothing but that to him. He did not care for me, he did not love me. I needed out, I wanted out so badly but I’m afraid that if I run he’d find me. The last time I tried to run he hunted me and dragged me back to the room of pain, he beat me for three days straight. He did it slowly so I suffered more, my pain was his pleasure. I had tried to kill myself multiple times but when I did he would make me shift, so I would heal for him to beat me again. I had made my way back to my room and pushed open the door, only to see the Beta sitting on the end of my bed.
“I’ve been waiting, I listened whilst Alpha did those things to you and look how hard it has me,” he said as he stood up and moved towards me.
I stepped back knowing that what he was about to do, I wasn’t coming back from. He would take me the way the Alpha did, maybe this time I would finally die. He trailed his fingers down the side of my face; I winced as they trailed over my wounds. His eyes faded to gold, they weren’t as terrifying as the sadistic red of the Alphas. His claws glided against my skin, they stopped and wrapped themselves around my neck.
“See the Alpha forbids anyone from touching you, as his Mate you belong to him. He will never find out about this because, I don’t rip up apart on the outside… Only on the inside,” he snarled and picked me up and threw me onto the bed.
I was silent as he tore off my dress, I did not move. I was used to this; this was what they had done to me. What they made me, I was nothing but a walking corpse who thought and said nothing. One who was used to pain, one who waited for it. As he took off his clothes I turned my head, the small specks of the city skyline peeked through the barred window. I wonder what it was like, what wounder laid waiting for me there. I had never seen the city; I had never been over the boarders as this was Rouge territory. As he laid himself between my legs I sighed and let my mind drift to the bright lights, I kept myself from looking t him or feeling him inside of me. It hurt less than what the Alpha would do, I guess you could say I was thankful that it didn’t hurt as much. I began to drift off to sleep but I was pulled back by a loud bang, he jumped off of me and ran for his things before he motioned for me to get down. I heard screaming coming from behind the door and I frowned, the Beta stood beside the door and growled. A loud rumbling roar came from the other side and the room began to shake, I trembled in fear and hid in the corner behind the dresser.
“Stay down!” was all he said before the door was ripped from its hinges and three men filed in.
I watched in horror as they shifted and ripped through the Beta like butler, one of them shifted back and looked around the room until his eyes landed on me. I was terrified; I had never seen Wolves this big not even the Alpha was that big. Their eyes matched the Betas and their fangs sharpened to a point, and they snarled at me and I whimpered.
“Clear the way; get rid of as many as you can. The Alpha wants us home by breakfast,” he spoke and the Wolves obeyed.
His eyes were suddenly on me and I kept mine down, he stepped forward and knelt in front of me. My entire body shook with fear and the pain of the Alpha acts did not help, I felt his hand tilt my head up and I looked at him. His eyes flicked over the cuts and bruises, he frowned and looked back up.
“He did this to you?”
He waited for me to answer but I just backed away further into the dark corner, he sighed and held out his hand. I sobbed and shook my head not wanting to move, he stood up as someone ran in and they weren’t from my Pack.
“We need to go now, we’re barely holding and the Alpha is on his way back with more,” he said and looked at me.
“Get up we have to leave,” he stepped towards me and I moved away from him.
“Fine you won’t cooperate, we’ll do this the hard way,” he said as he grabbed me and threw me over his shoulder.
I cried out as the contact hurt my wounds, he ran through the house that was now covered in dead bodies. Most of them were my Pack, I didn’t feel sad or bad for them because of what they had made me endure. As he carried me out we ran towards the woods followed by the wolves from earlier, I had never been this far over our boarders and it terrified me. He would come for me; he would drag me back to the hell he had created. Then there was light and he put me down, he walked towards the wolves that had shifted back. As I looked up I saw it… The sun, its light scattered the sky and kissed my face. It was beautiful; I had never seen something a magnificent as this. The sound of the sparrows as the rose to greet the sun, as I stood looking up I felt something I had never felt before. Peace, I closed my eyes and breathed in. That was all interrupted by a monstrous roar, sending ripples of terror through the land. My body shook in complete fear knowing he was close, as they came from shadows they attacked and I saw look over the area. As his eyes burned into mine I knew what would be done, the torture he would lay upon me. As the others fought he stepped towards me with red rage burning through him, I fell to my knees as it was all I could do. If I tried to run the pain would be greater when he caught me, I closed my eyes as the short moment of freedom disappeared. Then I heard a howl, not the usual howl but one of pain. I opened my eyes only to see him holding his head in his hands, an unfamiliar figure stepped forward through the path of torn limbs. Suddenly I was pulled up by the man who took me from my room, he threw me on his back and shifted.
“YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MINE IRIS! I WILL FIND YOU! YOU BELONG TO ME!”
Was all I heard before we propelled through the trees going far away from the boarders, the wind blew my hair up and the morning sun skimmed my skin. After what felt like hours he stopped at a clearing which looked like a plane field. He got me down and shifted back, he looked down and me and sighed.
“You didn’t run, why didn’t you run? You had a chance to run but you didn’t,” he said and I looked around at all the things I had never seen.
I didn’t say anything, I was away from him and I was terrified that this was just dream. That I would wake up and feel his wraith, the burn of the silver and the sting of wolfsbane. I was exhausted and I needed to rest.
“You’re not going to talk… Well I’m Lucas and we have a plane to catch, oh and sorry about this part,” he said as he grabbed me and I screamed as I felt him press the needle into my neck.
Everything around me started to spin and I gasped, as I fell back the light was replaced with absolute darkness.
