Book One: Chapter 3

2096 Words
Trinity’s eyes fluttered open for only a moment, seeing the handsome man asleep next to her, a small smile crept across her face. Why was she so happy and content laying next to a complete stranger she thought to herself. She took a moment to study his face, she had never seen it before, and yet it was so familiar to her. His hair was a dirty blond, long at the top, and cut down shorter around the sides. She was tempted to reach out and run her hands through his hair. She wondered what color his eyes were as she stared at his sleepy face. His strong jawline and full lips made her want to reach out and kiss him. Mate her wolf Raven purred. She quickly moved up and off the bed startled by that realization and then trying to remember how she had even ended up laying next to the gorgeous man beside her. Looking around at her unfamiliar surroundings trying to piece together how she had even gotten into the room she was in. Looking down she saw the white t-shirt and grabbed the bottom of it awkwardly pulling it down desperately wanting to be more covered up in that moment. She looked around for her clothes wondering how she ended up in just a t-shirt. Then she lifted the shirt to her nose and smelled him, her mate, and realized he must have put it on her. A small blush crept across her cheeks. “Good morning beautiful,” a sleepy voice said drawing her attention to the god like man stretching as he moved from the edge of the bed. “How? How did I get here," she asked slightly nervous. “Come here,” he spoke softly and her body eagerly complied taking her place in front of him in between his legs. “I brought you here after I found you,” he said running his hand along her thigh where the man stabbed her yesterday, it was almost completely healed, and his touch sent her wolf into an almost frenzy “I’m sorry for what happened to you,” he continued moving his gaze to the cut on the arm that disappeared overnight. “As soon as I figured out who you were I stopped Ralph but I was too late he had already done some damage but from the state of your wounds healing most of the wolfsbane is out of your system.” “And who am I,” she asked half curious if he had felt the same thing she was feeling in that moment. He pulled her up sat her down over his lap, a leg on each side of him, and nuzzled her neck. Inhaling her flowery scent that sent sparks all through his body. She was surprised at how relaxed she was with him. She didn’t feel the urge to run or repulsed by his touch. A few men had tried to mate with her but she couldn’t stand the smell of them and their touch made her sick to her stomach, but now it all made sense to her. None of them were him, her mate, and so of course her body would react that way to any other man. “My mate, my love, my luna.” As soon as he said the words out loud her brain snapped into action and she rapidly removed herself from his lap. She started pacing back and forth trying to process all that happened in the last… oh she didn’t even know how long she had been out for. This man was a stranger to her yet she felt the connection between them. He called her his love, he barely knew her, and his luna. There was now way she could be luna to a whole pack. She also realized that meant that he was an Alpha. She couldn't remember much of her old pack but she knew their Alpha was a fierce one, was her mate the same way. Kal stood from the bed and made his way over to her. Grabbing her hands, sending a shiver down her spine, and a warm tingly sensation shot down between her legs. The things his touch were doing to her body were confusing as she had never felt such sensations just from simple hand holding. Her body instantly relaxed at his touch and all worries seemed to disappear. She felt as though she was in this weird trance when he was close, like everyone and everything else in the world disappeared. She didn't feel the constant need to keep moving, worrying every second of the day, and always looking over her shoulder. “I’m sorry I know this is a lot considering we literally just met and you woke up in my bed which is unfamiliar to you. To be fair I was going to leave you alone last night but your wolf kept tugging on my shirt not letting me leave.” “But he injected me with wolfsbane how could my wolf do anything?” “That is a very good question,” he said after realizing it was a bit odd. “I…” she said taking a few steps back trying to clear her head because she found it impossible to think straight being in such close proximity to him. “I can’t stay here.” “Of course you can,” he replied smiling and thats when she noticed his dimples, those dimples were crippling to her. “What’s mine is yours. Anything and everything I have is now OURS,” he said emphasizing the last word. “You don’t even know me.” “I would like to,” he replied flashing that wondrous smile of his making her weak in the knees. He moved closer yet again pulling her into him with such force she had to catch her balance by grabbing onto his muscular chest. She had never seen or felt such defined pecks before. This man really was built like a god. They stood there gazing deeply into each others eyes. She was lost in his dark blue eyes wondering what was going through his head. she started to get anxious by how intensely he was staring at her and her eyes trailed down from his face to his abs and even lower before shooting back up. She was taken aback by the fact that she could not stop looking at him like he was a tasty treat. “Do you like what you see,” he asked causing her to blush and hide her shameless ogling. “Don’t be ashamed,” he stated lifting her head to meet his intense gaze yet again. “If I’m being honest I couldn’t help but look last night when I was getting you out of those disgusting clothes.” “My clothes,” she stuttered remembering she was still in his t-shirt. “Where are they,” she spoke breaking away from him and looking around for them. “In there,” he said pointing to the trash can. “You threw my clothes away,” she shouted running over to the can and bending down to salvage her few belongings. “Well they were covered in blood and sweat and a little worse for wear. Besides you look way better in that,” he said pointing to the T-shirt that had ridden up as she bent over, the bottom of her a** cheeks hanging out. She stood suddenly and pulled it back down but it was too late. Kal was already in front of her yet again pressing his body firmly against hers. He couldn’t put it off any longer. He wanted to kiss her as soon as he laid eyes on her the previous night but kissing unconscious women was not really his thing. Here she was fully awake mouth slightly parted most likely due to being surprised at how fast he was but he didn’t care he took the opportunity to dive in. The moment their lips touched Kal was sure he never wanted another pair lips against his ever again. He expected her to pull away because they were strangers and she barely knew him but she didn’t. Instead she lifted herself up onto her toes slightly and wrapped her hands around the back of his head to deepen their kiss. Tongues tied and completely lost in each other neither one of then heard the knock at the door. It wasn’t until it creaked open and a woman stepped in that they each snapped back to reality. Trinity hastily made her way behind Kal to cover herself using his body as a shield. “Good Morning Mother,” Kal spoke up. “I knocked,” she replied moving closer to them. “Who do we have here,” she asked peaking behind to him trying to get a glance at the beauty who had quickly disappeared behind her son. “Mom,” he paused reaching behind him to grab her hand and pulled her forward. “This is…my mate,” he said unsure of what to call her since they had gotten around to names quite yet. “Trinity,” she offered along with her hand to shake. “Oh don’t be silly,” she said grabbing her hand and pulling her in for a hug. “It’s such a pleasure to finally meet you my dear. I'm Evelyn but you can always call me mom,” she said with a wink at the end. “It's a pleasure to meet you as well,” she replied as a tear escaped her eye. It had been so long since she had been hugged like that… a mothers hug. They really were special. She couldn’t remember the last time her mother hugged her. It was probably the day they left her in the woods and disappeared. She tried her hardest to think back and remember that day more vividly but her mind was blank. Perhaps she had used up all her memories of them when she was younger, trying to keep herself sane all those years alone. Evelyn pulled away and gave her son a hug as well before dismissing herself from their room. He pulled Trinity into a bear hug feeling the sadness seeping from her heart. He didn’t understand why she was sad but he would do the best he could to be there for her and try to cheer her up. “Do you want to talk about it,” he asked gently and she simply shook her head. “Well although I would love to stay here with you wrapped tightly in my arms we are due for some shopping since I discarded what seems to be the only pair of clothes you own.” “They aren’t the only clothes I own I have a duffle… wait where’s my duffle bag,” she exclaimed frantically trying to find it. “I wasn’t aware you brought baggage, it was most likely left out in the yard when they brought you in. I will have someone find it for you and deliver it up here as soon as they do. Even so we still need to get you a better wardrobe my love.” My love, why did those two simple words out of his mouth make her heart flutter? Was the mate bond really as strong as she had heard from tales long ago. She had always heard whispers of findings ones mate but since she never stayed in one place to long she never got to see it happen for herself. She liked to believe her mother and father were bound by their souls but it was hard to with them constantly moving around. All she was really certain of was that the man standing before her ignited something inside her she hadn’t felt before and she couldn’t help but want to explore more of that feeling. She smiled up at him and reached up to touch his face. He really was a stunning specimen of a man and she could get lost in his blue eyes easily for the rest of her life. “You know my name now but I still have yet to learn yours sir,” she said with a small smirk. “My apologies my lady,” he said stepping away to bow before her. “Kal Wilson,” he continued grabbing her hand and placing a kiss on the top of it.
