Nigella was not given a time limit, nor was she told a budget for decorating the apartment to her liking. She was given the freedom compared to a free bird and left unchained to soar around the options and do whatever she liked, Elliot did not even have a preference of his own as he wasn't the one who was going to stay there, his exact words. He was too flexible in giving Nigella the reigns.
And Nigella made a good use of it. It wasn't easy to decorate everything even little by little. She had classes to attend, work to do and all she had was some time in the evening. She spent that time in browsing and calling in whoever she needed to inorder to get the work done.
It took a lot of energy out of her to balance out everything but Elliot did not let her get sucked into it. Too much work
