IRIS'S POV GETTING GAVIN TO SAFETY My heart had stopped beating for a moment, panic set in but I knew better than to show my emotions. “You're really not going to do anything?” Helen asked me, she was surprised or rather shocked that I was taking the news calmly. “Jerry is there with him, isn't he?” Helen scoffed, “They still need our help, Iris. The father of your kids is at the point of death as we speak, doesn't that bother you?” Helen snapped, her voice was a bit low and harsh, preventing the kids and Gavin's mother from hearing anything. I let my emotions gultify me as Helen spoke. I couldn't tell how I really felt but I had the urge in me to go save Gavin wherever he is. “Where are they?” I asked Helen. She didn't waste a second to tell me. “At a rural area around the pack.”
