Chapter 2: Lenny's P.O.V.

1430 Words
"First things first, I want to go to the place that you think they were taken from." I told Queen Annag. The queen nodded. "When would you like to?" She asked. "I'm free right now," I said. "Aunt Lenny," Tia scolded me. I turned my face to her and frowned. "What?" I asked offended. "Don't you think this is... a lot?" Max asked. It's a sensitive topic, Aunt Lenny, Tia said over the mind-link. "Queen Annag has been missing her son for literally hundreds of years. She never stopped looking. No one hasn't even so much as heard a peep, caught a wisp of him. And you think I'm moving too fast?" I asked incredulously. "If anything, I don't think we're moving fast enough." We are being kind of pushy. Reika mumbled. I just... really want to do this for her. I said. We do really like the queen. She's sweet, and her aura wraps us in a hug. My wolf replied. "All we're saying is that not everyone might be as gunhoe as you," Max told me. "For Queen Annag this could be... difficult." "Well, maybe we should let Queen Annag speak for herself then," I replied before looking at the queen. "Since no one even waited for you to reply to me... By all means your majesty, what would you like to do?" Queen Annag smiled as she set her empty glass on the table. "Actually, right now sounds perfect," she said as she stood up. "I'd rather get a move on as well. I've waited long enough for answers." I turned my head to smirk at my niece and her mate. Tia looks unemotional like always. Max rolled his eyes at me. "I'll teleport you there myself," the queen said. "Come, come." ************************ I looked around at the small clearing in the Fae forest. There isn't much here, but I don't know what I was expecting. It's been hundreds of years. There's nothing here for me to go off of now. Still, I thought if I came here that maybe I would feel something. Maybe I would sense something. Anything. I crouched down to the ground. I got on my knees, and shoved my hands into the dirt. I closed my eyes and focused on the energy. The Fae realm is full of energy. All the creatures, the forest, the ground. Everything is bursting with energy. Which means that my own powers are stronger here. Since my Witch side pulls natural energy to power my abilities, I can pull all this energy in and use it. Suddenly, images started flashing behind my closed eyes. I couldn't make anything out. Nothing at all. It was too fast. I think that they were people though. A young boy and his father, though, they're only shadows. They were alone, and then they weren't. It wasn't an army or even a group of people. All I could see was one more shadow. It approached the other two shadows, but then everything went black. I tried to pull my hands free from the ground, but I couldn't. What the? "I told you to always conquer from within... Too bad you never learned, boy..." Then suddenly, I was back. My eyes snapped open as I pulled my hands free. I don't think that I reacted to what I saw though, because Queen Annag didn't say anything. I sat there for a moment thinking about what I had seen. I really didn't see much at all. Nothing much more than we already knew either. I turned my head to look up at the queen. She was staring at the forest floor with a far-off look on her face. I couldn't help but admire her true beauty as the setting sun cast a warm glow on her. Queen Annag is a stunning woman. She's well over 600 hundred years old, but doesn't look a day older than 50. If that. Her light brown hair is tied up in some intricate way like it always is. Those golden eyes are so otherworldly. Well, that checks out, I suppose. I wonder if Emrys grew to look like his mother. Wait... grew... If Emrys is alive somewhere, he would be... over 400 years old. Wouldn't somebody have noticed by now? I mean, Queen Annag said they went on a rampage tearing apart the realm. No one could stop them from searching homes and properties. How many hiding places are there in this realm that the queen and her subjects don't know about? In a realm this trusting, at that. From what I heard, the people here were more than happy to help search, open their homes, and report possible places. 400 years is a long time to keep someone hidden in a place like this. Maybe they took him somewhere else. Reika suggested. My eyes widened. "Queen Annag, you said that you searched the entire realm." I started. "That's right," she replied. "Have you guys ever... searched other realms?" I asked. Queen Annag scrunched her face up. "We were denied entrance to the Dragon realm. We searched others though. Not much. Not like here." She told me. Others? How many more realms are there? I thought, other than the Gods, it was just the Dragon, Fae, and our realm. Ya know what, whatever, now is not the time. "Okay," I said as I stood up. "Can you teleport me home? I'd like to skry for him using my family's help." ************************* Queen Annag teleported me home after giving me something that belonged to Emrys. She had Max teleport her back though. She was exhausted from fighting Omen, and then teleporting me back and forth. I didn't blame her. After that, I went around the house collecting blood from everyone. If what Queen Annag said about the Fae king and prince being powerful is true, then whoever took them must be powerful as well. Which means I'm going to need a lot of power. I concocted a potion using all the blood I gathered and using some hair of Emrys's that Queen Annag had given me. She had also given me a blanket of his so that I had his scent. Which is going to be helpful considering I have no idea what he looks like. "Are you sure this is even going to work?" Kee asked me from the doorway. "You offering to help?" I asked. Kee huffed as she walked into the Den. "I can help you when you skry." She said as she plopped onto the stool. "Well great, because it's done," I told her. I moved to the other table where I had a huge map of the world open. My plan is to try our world first because it's the only map of a world that I have. If this doesn't work... well, my next plan was to beg Kee for help. "I would have without you begging," Kee mumbled. "Just come here." I said. Kee joined my side, and we locked our hands together. I dumped the potion I made in the middle of the map. Kee and I focused all of our power on finding Emrys. I focused on his scent and the images I saw. I focused- "It's moving already," Kee interrupted my thoughts. "Huh?" I asked as I looked down. Sure enough, the blood was moving along the map. We watched it as it went all the way to the U.K. It stopped right on Manchester. Kee and I shared a look. "Want me to teleport you there?" ****************** Fast forward about an hour and here I am, standing in the middle of some random bar in the U.K. I was unbelievably confused when I tracked Emrys down to this place. Even more so as I stare at the back of him sitting at the bar. I can tell from the scent that that's him, but... Emrys seems fine to me. Not kidnapped against his will at all. Definitely not in any kind of trouble. "Sorry, excuse me," I said as I tapped on his shoulder. "Are you Emrys?" Emrys looked annoyed until his eyes finally landed on me. All the blood in my body rushed to my cheeks. My own eyes widened as I stared back into the most... interesting blue, purple, and golden eyes I've ever seen. Reika's constant shouting in my head is like a ringing in my ears. There's no fu.cking way. No possible way. This is not real. Not at all. Emrys... The lost prince... The rightful ruler of the Fae realm... Is my mate?
