20. Let's move in together

826 Words
Have you ever wondered what's the reason why people are popular or unpopular? Is it because of their personality, or some other features? This question has lately become my favourite one as my life choices have led me to experience both sides of this matter. My school life isn't as great as it was with Chris, Tina as Stephy by my side. If it weren't for Ana I think I wouldn't even have one person to talk to. It has been a month since I became a student of Cypress High, and I'm definitely not a popular one. For starters there were few boys who tried to ask me out but because of Keith I'm not into any relationships. All three of those boys were turned down but it wasn't the end of a story. I found out later on that they started gossiping about me, telling everyone that I am uptight b***h. It had its ups and downs. From positives no one asked me out again, but the bad side I've been given a "b***h" label. Girls didn't seek my friendship eather. They were mostly jealous of my looks or sport skills, as you see even untrained werewolf can out run every normal human. If jealousy wasn't the case then downfall from the social ladder for befriending "the b***h" was. So from all the students I had only Ana. And don't get me wrong I adore her. She can give me some tough love but I guess I deserve it most of the time. We became really close friends. I even met her family and it was refreshing to meet again with people who know about my world. Having only Ana had made incredible changes in my academic performance. It's true, I spend most of my spare time learning, I can honestly say that I'm studying more than I ever did in my life. I actually started to like a few of my classes. I'm particularly fond of psychology. Another day in this hell hole is about to finish so as usual I'm waiting for Ana by her locker. "Hey Cee, ready to go?" - she greeted me "You know I'm always ready to get the hell out of here" - I answered with the wink "Great, would you give me a ride home? My Mom wanted me there as Soon as I finished classes." "Yeah, no problem." We drove back to her place. Ana and her parents lived in a small three bedroom house with a yellow facade and red roof. It was very cosy. "Do you want to come in? I'll see what my mother wants from me and then we can hang out." - Ana asked me when I stopped the car. "Sure." Her mother was in the kitchen when we entered preparing another homemade meal. I really missed those, since I live alone I mosty dine outside or order take outs as I'm not the best cook. "Oh, Hi Honey. It's good you're home. I need to talk to you about something." - said her mother - Dora "Hi Mom, I'm with Cece. Can she stay or is our conversation top secret?" - asked Ana sarcastically "Oh hello Cecilia, it's good to see you again. Of course you can stay" - said Dora "Hello Dora" - I answered politely "Ok Mom, so what's up?" "Well, your father has been transferred to office in Nevada and I just wanted to inform you that you'll be living with your grandparents till graduation, and after if you'd like you could start College here, or in Nevada, or anywhere you chose." "Wow, that's unexpected. But living with granny would suck." - replied Ana "Anna Carlson! First of all watch your language, Young Lady, secondly they love you and will take good care of you." "Yeah, I know but that's not the point, riding to school will take around forty five minutes each way. It's just so far, can't I stay here?" "I'm afraid not, we can't support two households Honey" - sad Dora apologetically. Both of them became quiet. "Why won't you move in with me?" - I suggested They both looked at me as If only now realizing I've been sitting there all this time. "You mean that?" - Ana asked with disbelief and unhidden hope in her voice. "Yeah, why not. It's closer to school. Your parents know me, besides it would be nice to have someone to talk to" - I answered truthfully "Mom, what do you think?" "Well, it's reasonable. But I'm a little worried about two teenagers living together. Alone." "Oh come on Dora, you know my story and it's only two more months till graduation. What's the worst thing that can happen?" - I pled "Hmm, that's true. Ok let's say I agree, but you two have to convince your father first." - finally answered Dora "Done!" -we both shouted in unison I guess I have a roommate now.
