Caitlyn was in Evans' car with Daphne. Daphne was thrilled to be able to take Caitlyn home. While Caitlyn was amazed at the luxurious house, she came to. "Is this your house?" Caitlyn asked Evans. Evans glanced back as he exhaled. He was talking to Daphne instead. "Daphne, can you come into your room?" Evans asked. Daphne showed an unhappy response. "I want to be with her," Daphne said. "I don't want to be in my room. You're going to ask mom to leave." Caitlyn also did not understand why she had to go to Daphne's house with Evans. She was planning to suicide. Everything now changed one hundred and eighty degrees. Caitlyn wondered what Evans would do. "I won't ask her to leave," Evans said. "I need to confirm your condition. You escaped from the watchful eyes of the guards. I need to ensure no virus or injury in your body. Please, listen to me, Honey." Daphne was annoyed, but she wasn't short of ideas. "I want her to come to the room with me," Daphne said. Evans looked at Caitlyn. He looked skeptical of this strange woman. But Daphne was stubborn. Evans had no choice but to obey Daphne. "Alright," Evans said. "This woman will come to your room." Daphne looked very happy. But Caitlyn was confused. She needed an explanation for why she had been brought to this conglomerate's home. The bodyguard opened the door for Daphne. The little girl quickly got out of the car. "Come with me!" Daphne impatiently asked Caitlyn to follow her. "Okay. I am coming." Caitlyn was about to leave, but Evans held her back. "We'll talk alone." Evans looked deeply at Caitlyn. Caitlyn could see the worry in Evans. He seemed very fond of Daphne. Rich people were different. They could do anything for their family. "Okay. After I'm with Daphne," Caitlyn said. Caitlyn got out of the car. Daphne immediately took her hand and invited her into the house. Evans noticed that Daphne was very happy. He smiled when he saw Caitlyn looking so excited. **** Daphne slept after being accompanied by Caitlyn in her room for an hour. Caitlyn made sure that Daphne was sound asleep and left the room. "Miss," a woman in a maid outfit met Caitlyn. "Mr. Evans Silvester is waiting for you in his room." "Well, meet me with him," Caitlyn said. The maid led Caitlyn to a special room. There, Evans was waiting, seated. His gaze looked intimidating, but Caitlyn tried to remain calm. "Sit down, please," Evans said after the waitress left. Caitlyn complied. She sat down in front of Evans. It was very nervous, but Caitlyn had to see Evans. "I am sorry, but what do you want to discuss?" Caitlyn asked. Evans looked Caitlyn up and down. His eyes were focused on observing Caitlyn. It seemed like she wanted to confirm something. "Can you not look at me like that?" Caitlyn asked. She felt that the way Evans was looking at her was very disrespectful. "What's your name, Miss? How did you meet my daughter on the beach?" Evans asked, still with his suspicious gaze. "I am Caitlyn Steel," Caitlyn replied. "I accidentally met Daphne at the edge of the cliff. I thought she had lost her parents. I didn't know that Caitlyn was your daughter. I know you. You are Evans Silvester. You're often seen on TV." Evans looked like he was considering something. He was still focused on observing Caitlyn from top to bottom. "What do you do? And where do you live?" Evans asked once again. "Are you interrogating me?" Caitlyn snapped. "Hey, Sir. I already said that I accidentally met your daughter. Why are you treating me like a kidnapper? You should be thanking me for helping Daphne!" Caitlyn felt Evans' attitude was outrageous. She never intended to kidnap anyone. "I had to ensure you didn't intend to do it. Kidnapping," Evans said. "I don't know if you're lying or not. Just answer my questions. What do you do, and where do you live?" Caitlyn was annoyed. But she tried to understand. Evans was a father, after all. It was natural for him to worry about his daughter's safety. "I am a tycoon, Miss. You have no idea how often I've endured death threats. And anyone can use my daughter for money. I don't mean any harm. I just want to make sure you're not a danger to my daughter," Evans said. There was one thing Caitlyn observed in Evans. He seemed arrogant and cold as a father. His demeanor showed he was a cold bachelor who was not even interested in women. "Your daughter say she like me because I am pretty. I don't know why she said that. I just want to be with Daphne. If you don't like it, I'll leave immediately." Caitlyn did not want to linger in this luxurious home. "By the way, I work at the public library. I don't have a house or anything right now. My best friend and boyfriend cheated on me, so now I'm homeless," Caitlyn said. Evans was saddened by Caitlyn's story. But he was still curious about Caitlyn. How could her daughter call her mom? "Have you met Daphne before?" Evans asked. "Nope. I just met Daphne for the first time, and she interested on mem Why does she do that? Where's her mom?" Caitlyn was getting chatty. She couldn't wait to leave. She didn't know where to live at the moment. "I need to ensure you're not carrying any dangerous weapons, Miss. Can you stand up?" Evans stood up immediately. Caitlyn hesitated, but she stood up immediately. Caitlyn felt even more nervous as Evans approached her. Evans also extended both his hands. He was about to touch Caitlyn's clothes. "What are you doing, Sir?" Caitlyn screeched. She brushed off Edward's hands that were trying to touch her clothes. "I want to check your body. I need to know if you have a weapon," Evans said. Caitlyn could not believe that Evans would go that far. "I don't carry any weapons!" She even felt her own body. "Why would I carry a gun!" "Prove it," Evans said. "I need to look inside your body." Caitlyn remembered Evans' bodyguards. She understood that Evans would not just let her go. She was afraid that Evans would kill her now. Caitlyn decided to undress. "I'll do it myself," Caitlyn said. She quickly took off her clothes in front of Evans. Caitlyn was very embarrassed. She had never been harassed like this in her life. Evans looked at Caitlyn's body. There was no weapon on her body. But she still looked so hesitant. "I'll put my clothes back on soon." Caitlyn hurriedly wanted to put her clothes back on. But Evans suddenly reprimanded her. "I have to make sure of myself. I have to check your body," Evans said. "I can't trust you."
