Lailah
"So you guys have three pets?" Faye asked as she groomed Grim. Oddly enough, he looked really good with her, Faye had this nineteen twenties look to her, a total classy babe, especially when she tucks one side of her hair back.
"Yup, Grim, Lolita and Salt. All cats. Mom doesn't like dogs, she says they're gross and smell awful. I agree." I admitted while she gave a small laugh and nodded saying she also agrees.
It's weird to think she's going to marry Angeles, I feel so bad for her. He's not a bad guy, he's very good at heart to those he loves, but he says some very rude things some times. She seems strong though, I think she can handle him.
Part of me wants to tell her she'd be better off with Vader. I mean I saw the way he looked at her, but he usually doesn't like older woman. Plus he's engaged to that t**t.
I watched Grim curl under her neck purring, we'd finished most of the tour and there was just the rooms now. "So yup, the cats usually hang out in my room because it's got a bunch of lace and strings." I said looking around my room that the maids tidied.
"Miss. Your mother says to remind you to be ready in twenty minutes." The maid stated before curtsying and leaving.
Dammit.
Faye places Grim down and I walked with her to the hall, "Alright I've got to get ready but there" I pointed to the door at the end, "Is Vader's room." I began.
She nodded and I moved my finger to the room to the right of it, "That's Angeles's." I then pointed across to her room, "Your room." I said smiling and watching her nod.
Then I moved to the door to my left, "Mom and dad's room." I watched her nod, "and then Carlyles." I pointed across my room.
She nodded "Only six rooms. Easy to remember." She said while I watched her eye the doors a bit longer. "Oh and feel free to wear any of my clothes or use my hair curler. Anything. I don't have the authority to leave the home without one of my brothers or my father so we can't go shopping until one of them is off." God that's embarrassing to admit.
Faye gave me a sheepish smile, "I might borrow an outfit. Thank you." She said while I gave a nod.
I have to get ready now, moms lunches drive me insane. Always the same s**t too, but she says it's necessary, that we have to do these lunches to keep with the appearances. Mom doesn't gossip much, so I doubt she'll bring up Angeles and Faye's engagement.
"Thank you." Faye said before going to her room.
Changing into a proper dress and heels, I did my makeup and hair before grabbing a clutch and walking out. Vader was downstairs with his fiancé, both of them discreetly arguing as always. I watched him tighten his tie as his jaw twitched in annoyance, "Olleia, drop it." He muttered.
They headed out the door to his car and I watched mom walk over from the end of the hall watching them intently. She hates Olleia, like hates her.
I smirked, "Hopefully he'll call it off." I commented while mom gave a nod, "Hopefully. What do you think about bringing Faye next week for lunch?" She asked going to our limo.
Shrugging, I wondered if she'd like it, she'd fit, "I think she could do very well. She's a very classy girl." I said while mom gave a nod.
I can tell she likes her.
We got to the lunch and I felt my heart beat quickly before I settled it. Heading to our table, I took my seat in the glass gazebo set for all nine of us.
The other woman were already there, I stared around the crowd of others, searching for the familiar face.
There he was, his eyes already running over me, a smile growing on his lips as he met my eyes. My heart fluttered in my chest and I stared at my glass to keep from smiling and giving myself away.
I peeked over at him any chance I could during the entire lunch, and never was I caught by the woman. They're always too engulfed in watching the others on their own. Only they're looking to see if they know anyone they can show off to.
Getting up, I smiled and watched mom go back to talking to one of the elder woman.
Walking out of their view I headed up the stairs to the dinner seating and up to the restrooms there. The entire upstairs was empty, but when I pushed open the bathroom door, he smirked at me from inside.
I felt a smile grow over my lips, "Is that a new dress love?" He asked walking over and cupping my face in his palms before I leaned, melting into his chest. He smiled and pulled my lips to his, I deepened our kiss, craving him.
"It's new." I said softly as I unzipped it and tossed it onto the sink before shoving him into the waiting chair.
I love rich bathrooms, they always have seating inside the bathrooms because they're geniuses.
Moving over him, I straddled him as he ran his hands over my hips kissing my collar bones and down to my abdomen. "I hate that I only see you once a week." Here he goes again.
I sighed and stared down at him, admiring his brown wavy Prince Charming locks and his sweet brown eyes, "You know we can't be together. My dad and brothers would kill you Jesse." I said softly while he looked to my lips and then up at my eyes longingly.
He pulled me to his chest, "You have my entire heart Lai, all of it. If once a week is all you can give me, then I'll make it count." He said pulling my lips to his.
Gently pulling back, I took his hand, "You say that to every girl?" I teased while his face didn't break into a smile or a grin, "No, I've loved you for years Lai. Since fifth grade. I may not be a billionaire, but I swear I could love you and cherish you better than any man could. Lai I don't want a cent from you, not one cent. I just want you. I want to hold you for more than five minutes. I'm so in love with you." He said breaking my heart even more with his perfection.
I laid my head on his chest, sighing and running my hand up his neck, "I promise I'll find a way for us to be together. But I-I need time." I said wiping a tear.
He looked down and kissed the top of my head, "I'll never quit you. If it's time you need, take it. All my time is yours." He said softly while I leaned back and kissed his lips.
I wish I could marry who I wanted.
I'd marry Jesse in a heart beat.
