“Who are these guys, again?” Kai asked for the third time this morning.
Ethan took a deep breath, “This is the Romanov Coven. They’re an old, traditional family.”
“As in…” Max looked between Ethan and Kai. “What is a traditional vampire family?”
“Coffins, dungeons, funny accents and they talk like they’re from the Middle Ages because they are,” Nora made sure to sound as blunt as possible. “They also hate vampires that were turned from humans, but not as much as they hate humans.”
Max’s eyes widened. “So…you all thought it would be a good idea to bring me?”
“It was you or Ace, but they seem to hate demons even more than anything right now, so you were the safest bet.” Ethan didn’t even look fazed saying it.
