Brandy I politely shook his hand and I saw the bit of admiration in his gaze when I gave a firm hand shake. That was one good lesson my father had instilled in me. “Please, take a seat.” He waved to the set of leather chairs that were set in a circle around a short round, dark cherry table. Nate didn’t sit. He stayed standing behind me, in typical bodyguard fashion. Senator Ross took a seat across from me while Axel sat to my right.
