Axel pursed his lips.
I knew, by his body language, this wasn’t how Axel had wanted things to go. From what I could guess, he had been banking on his father never finding out. He should have divulged this information to me sooner so I wouldn’t have given him away. As it was, Axel hadn’t looked accusingly at me. He knew this was his own fault and was working through everything in his mind on how to explain to his father how he had acquired such resources.
“You went to them didn’t you?” Senator Ross asked accusingly.
“No. I spoke with Nani and she was able to obtain them quietly. She only gave me a week with them, and her medical records from the time she was admitted to the mental ward up till the time of her death in the prison.”
