Brandy My glare clashed with Dillan’s smug gaze. It was almost as if he was daring me to react and fight back, knowing he had the upper hand when it came to hitting all the sore spots on my heart. Nate stepped in front of me, drawing Dillan’s attention onto him. “Leave her alone, Dillan.” He ordered calmly, yet forcefully. Dillan’s gaze moved over us and, while he backed down, I had a feeling he wasn’t going to just drop this. It would come back around. By the look in his eyes, he was looking for some kind of fight. “Can’t we just all go get a drink?” Jack spoke up. “And catch up and talk like old times?” The others all murmured nervously their agreement to Jack’s proposal.
