I wanted to believe him.
And so I chose to do just that.
I forgave him with my entire heart and soul. I looked into his eyes and chose to really give him another chance.
I chose him.
Didn’t the saying go: fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
I knew it would be my fault if he hurt me again. If he chose to revert back to his old ways, I knew I would be crushed, but I also believed in giving second chances where it was deserved.
And in this case, I believed he deserved it. He had proven himself to me at least. Maybe I was being blinded by my emotions. Maybe I was being foolish and naive. But that was okay. It was my choice to make.
