CHAPTER 12
If Ava had not known Brandon for years, she would say she finally met the devil himself. It was easy to curse the asshole. It was so easy to hate him back. But, for some reason, she took back her words minutes later.
Ava had seen Brandon’s gentler side before and she somewhat saw it again...during the time he was pretending to be a devoted boyfriend and earlier as her husband. He was more human than some humans she knew when he act like that.
Surely this ass by her side right now was a result of something tragic in his past.
Aside from the rejection that she did–there was more that happened to him, and she intended to find out…soon.
She reckoned, that Brandon needed to heal. He needed to forget and forgive. Ava hoped and prayed she was right.
