005 Regain a New Lease of Life

Varg walked freely in the cold mountains shrouded by the cold moon, the darkness of the night did not affect his vision, the vertical pupils in his eyes dilated open, all the wind and minutiae were in his eyes. He appeared silently around the wooden house, which he had built when he was a child playing with his brother, he kicked the buried stag's leftover blood and the fire with his feet, and was a little surprised to see the small tent that had been erected under the tree house. He didn't think that woman would live long, her weak constitution doomed to be eliminated by nature. Letting himself, the wolf god's chosen successor to take care of the woman, he was aware of what his brother, who was the wolf king thinking that since the humans had sent him this great gift, he might as well go under him, and Varg would be the next wolf god anyway, however, Varg was inclined to not want to let him have what he wanted, and his own destiny, he would have to decide on his own. However, when Varg approached the small tent, he saw Zona, huddled between two lesser wolves, sleeping peacefully, that one small space extremely warm in this freezing weather. The two young wolves lying inside instantly opened their eyes when they heard a movement! But once they saw that it was Varg, they c****d their tails, really unwilling to get up. The wolves were too warm, but when they got up, the cold wind came in! Then their new "companion" would freeze to death! Varg didn't mind, he even tilted his head and carefully looked at this seemingly simple but sturdy nest, and frowned at Zona, who was still sleeping even though someone was near, his vigilance was too low! * The next morning, Zona was woken up by the chirping birds in the forest. Upon opening her eyes, she was startled! Beside her were the two fake-sleeping wolves! At her slightest movement, they opened their eyes and got up and whooshed out. Zona climbed out of the tent, the daytime temperature was better, the winter branches were dry, the sunlight always penetrated the layers of branches and vines and poured onto the grass, even the snow had melted a lot. The snow was unclean, Zona needed to find a water source, she had to explore the mountain while it was still a bit safer during the day, she also had to set up a clay stove to boil water and store fire, it would be a bit tough to tell her to manually build a fire every day, it would be better to keep the fire! Zona thought to herself as she cut off the venison with her bone knife, she suddenly thought of the mysterious benefactor, unlike a real person, Zona suspected for a moment that the person was a goblin! How else could he live in the mountains and command wolves! The fact that there was a tree house helped to settle her mind a little. Looking at the heavy accumulation of dust in the hut, she was determined to find and clean it up! There was no way to say that she would be settling here from now on. The village is not able to go back, first, she does not know the direction, if she wanders, lost in the forest, it will be bad, can only wait until the spring after the snow melts. Secondly, she will not be accepted if she goes back, and there may not be any problems. After a lot of thinking, she decided to build an earthen stove first, and then collect the nearby snow water and store it! Zona walked to the platform of the treehouse, and was about to descend the ladder when she stopped abruptly. That golden-eyed man was back! He appeared silently in the forest, carrying a huge wild goat, and reached the treehouse in a few steps. Varg raised his head and looked at Zona on the staircase against the sunlight, the golden sunrise spattered on his face and the color of his pupils became lighter. The first time Zona met this man was in the dark night when the campfire was dimly lit. At that time, she was too afraid to see clearly, but only remembered a pair of dark gold eyes and a stout body. Now, she towered over her, and took in the full view. Zona had only one thought, "He's a beast!" She had never seen anyone like him. Extremely handsome! A head full of coarse, hard black hair was braided into small strands and hung behind his head, revealing a polished forehead and straggly sword brows, a high nose, features as profound as a knife and axe, and lines that were both heroic and cold. The honey-colored body was tall, strong and majestic, and the horizontal broad back was sweating, steaming hot in the cold weather. Brash, and deep. It's a mature beast, she thought. Zona stood for a long time, her heart beating a little faster, her hands and feet tingling. But then she saw the man throw down the plate of sheep and tear it up with his bare hands.Zona came back to her senses, but not knowing how to say hello, she decided she'd better head downstairs. Zona walked next to the man in haste, her eyes involuntarily gazing at the muscles that kept bulging between his arms as he tore at the sheep's skin, her mouth still stuttering, "That, Ying, hero, thanks for the deer!" After half a dozen utterances, she only managed to squeeze out this one sentence, and then she didn't know what to say, and could only stand beside Varg and stare dryly while she herself clasped her hands in embarrassment. Varg didn't say anything either. Glancing at Zona's thin, hemless clothes, he stripped off the entire sheepskin, balled it up into a roll, and threw it into Zona's arms with a shake of his hand. This disk of sheep's fur was extremely thick! Zona stumbled and stood still, only then did Varg raise his head to look seriously at this weak female, and swept the pair of arms that were not strong, and could even be said to be very thin and weak, his eyes implied uncertainty. Zona's face immediately turned red, "I, I just got distracted, so didn't grab this." The words got smaller and smaller, it was a very pale explanation, she wasn't strong. Varg was in the middle of skinning a goat, separating one with his bare hands in a few strokes, ripping tendons and bones, but heard Zona's words with a slight nod. The two didn't speak after that. The air was silent for a time ... This sheep is very big, and there is still a lot of fat, Zona sees that she can't help much, so she hugs the sheep skin and says, "I'll go help you make the sheep skin!" Saying this, she turned as if fleeing and went up to the cabin. With a bone knife in her hand, she sat on the small platform in the doorway and scraped the grease and tissue from the skin cleanly. As she worked, her afterglow looked at the man under the tree. She saw that the man left two sheep legs under the tree, and threw the rest in the forest, and then tilted her head back and howled, the sound of the beast in the posture of a human being, and scared Zona so much that she dropped her bone knife. It was not a human voice! It was a wolf's howl! As soon as the sound fell, several tall gray wolves scurried out of the forest, as if they were used to this situation, they picked up the rest of their prey and left. Zona was a little scared; one always cowers in the face of the unknown. By the time she apprehensively handled the sheepskin, the man had already finished a large piece of meat, neither grilled nor roasted, only torn into strips. He was tearing the meat, and when he watched Zona come down holding the sheep skin, he stared at Zona with dark gold eyes hiding vertical pupils, "The leg of the sheep and the sheep skin belong to you." Without waiting for Zona to say anything, he leapt onto the thick branch of the ancient tree in a few bounds, idly laying down and resting with his eyes closed. Zona looked at the plump leg of the sheep, and the soft and thick piece of sheepskin in her hand, and stood alone for half a day. Only afterward did she thin her voice and whispered towards the figure in the tree. "Then, thank you oh." After that, magically, slightly reduced the fear in its heart towards the Varg in the tree. Zona knew deep down that people, were the most terrifying animals. People's hearts are complicated, their desires are fierce, they often don't have sharp teeth, but their killings are more cruel and ghastly than those of the beasts that hunt only to satiate their bellies. Take right now, experienced being betrayed by relatives and then rescued, she knows a thing or two about it. The man in the tree, even if he was cold to her, was better than the villagers of Faraway Village down the hill. He had saved himself.
