Chapter Fithteen - Girl talk

1224 Words
Ava’s P.O.V “Ava, wake up.” I heard Alannah’s voice ring through my room, shaking me gently. “Go away…sleeping.” I groaned, pulling the covers over my head. I know she wouldn’t give up at that; she was put here to annoy me at times. She continued shaking me before pulling the covers off me. I sat up, glaring at her, Alannah looking back at me smiling widely. She was always chirpy in the morning; it was annoying. I don’t know how she does it. “What? There better be a good reason for you to wake me up.” I said, running my hands through my hair. Alannah giggled, before coming and climbing under the covers with me. She had got back late last night with her breakaway with Aiden, so we never had a chance to talk. I was not with Dylan the previous night cause he had made plans with his sister. He wanted me to go with him, but I told him it was too soon for me to do that which he understood. “I need to be updated on what has happened since I have been away.” She said. By what has happened, she means what was going on with Dylan and me. “Nothing much,” I said giggling. “Hey! Stop being mean, tell me about you and Dylan.” She said. “Dunno what you mean.” I shrugged. She pushed me playfully, the two of us laughing. I decided I should probably tell her before she goes into a huff with me. I told her everything that had happened between Dylan and I. I told her about the feelings we shared with one and another…how he asked me to be his girlfriend. By the time I finished telling her she was jumping up and down, squealing in excitement. “Ahh! I am so happy for you. I cannot believe that I never thought about introducing you two to each other sooner.” She said, clapping her hands, “Aw my little Ava is in love.” She added in a gush. “Not quite.” I giggled. “Come on that is bullshit, you two are already in love with each other neither of you wants to admit cause it has only been like ten days.” She said. I laughed, brushing what she was saying off. Maybe it was the truth; perhaps it wasn’t. I was not 100% sure though, it has only been ten days after all. I knew I was crazy about him that was one thing I did know. But to let myself fall in love again? That terrifies me cause anytime I let myself fall in love things got worse. He used that to take more control of me and make me fall for his lies. I know Dylan is not like that, but the fear is still there. “Ava, please don’t, don’t start getting scared…don’t start pulling away from him.  He is a good man with a kind heart, the kind of man you deserve. The kind of man that will look after you and protect you.” She said. “I know he is, I do. Alannah you know what I have been through and because of that the thought of giving my heart again fully terrifies me.” I sighed, running my hands through my hair. Alannah reached in, grabbing my hand in hers and squeezing it. “I know that but please don’t push him away, OK?” She said, giving me a small smile. “I will try not to. Anyway enough about me, how was your break away with Aiden?” I smiled. Alannah filled me in on her few days away with Aiden which she seemed to enjoy. The two of them were crazy in love with each other it was sweet. I wouldn’t be surprised if he proposes soon, you can just tell the two of them are made for each other. Alannah and I chatted away, giggling and making plans for later on. She always made me feel better; it was just the kind of person she was. “What about s*x Ava, do you think you will feel comfortable enough to let that happen with Dylan?” She asked. “I think so, not until I am 100% ready though,” I said. “I get that, and I know Dylan will wait for as long as it takes.” She smiled. “I will wait as long as it takes.” We heard a voice say from my bedroom door. I knew exactly who it was, Dylan. I looked up at him, feeling my face heat red. How long has he been there? I hear Alannah giggle from beside me, earning herself a glare from me. “Um…how long have you been there?” I asked shyly. “A few minutes.” He smirked. “Oh…um… OK,” I said, pushing my hair behind my ear. Dylan made his way over to the bed, reaching down and pecking my lips softly. “Morning beautiful.” He smiled. “Hi,” I whispered out shyly. He gave Alannah a quick hug before coming around and sitting at the other side of me. I turned to look at him, smiling at him and in return, he winked at me, a flirtatious look on his face making me giggle. “How was your time away with Aiden? He did not put a ring on that finger yet?” Dylan said with a smirk. My thoughts exactly, glad I am not the only one that thinks that. It was Alannah’s turn to blush. “No. I don’t know if he ever will.” She said, sounding a little sad. “Are you kidding Alannah? Of course, he will, when he is ready. The guy loves you with his whole heart and soul.” Dylan said. “I know, and I feel the same about him too.” She smiled. “It will happen when it is meant too,” I said. Alannah nodded in agreement before changing the subject away from it. The three of us chatted for a bit before Alannah decided to head off, start getting ready for the day, leaving me with Dylan. As soon as we were alone, he pulled me into him, holding me close to his chest. “I missed you last night,” He whispered, kissing the top of my head gently. I lifted my head from his chest, looking up at him. I reached in, stroking his cheek and smiled as I did. He really was beautiful. “I missed you too,” I replied. Dylan reached down, pressing his lips against mine and I melted against his lips, gripping onto his tee and pushing my body against his. I swear every time he kisses me, it just gets better and better. We pulled apart after a moment, well our lips did, our bodies stayed close. He reached in, playing with my hair. “How are you doing this morning, baby?” He asked. “I am OK. You?” I replied. “Fine…even better now that I am with you.” He said. “Stop,” I said, letting out a chuckle, burying my face in his tee. “I am only telling the truth sweetheart.” He chuckled, making me look up at him again. “You are such a dork.” I laughed. “Maybe, but as long as I am your dork, that’s alright.” He said with the dorkiest smile. “Yes, you are my dork.” I giggled, reaching in and kissing his cheek. We snuggled back in under the covers. “Let’s go back to sleep. I never slept that great last night cause I missed you next to me,” He said I felt my heart thud in my chest when he said that, too, knowing exactly what he meant. Something felt off when he wasn’t next to me. “Same baby…same,” I whispered I soon felt myself beginning to drift off, feeling safe being wrapped in his arms again.
