A new friend

Sitting at my desk in my office seems like all I've been doing lately. Being an alpha is no joke, especially the strongest one. I'm known as the most ruthless, most feared and most cold alpha, but I have yet to find my mate. I'm starting to give up on finding her. My pack says that maybe if I find a mate, I'll be less like stone.

I am Maximus Winchester and I am nineteen years old. I became alpha at the age of ten to the blood moon pack. When my father died, I have black hair, short on the sides with enough hair on the top to run my fingers through, and I have been doing a lot of that too lately. My eyes are grey and I'm 6ft2.

"Wanna hit the training field with me? I need someone to spar with, please."

My annoying little sister asks

"I have work to do. Alice ask Steven or Tim to spar with you"

"You always have work maxi. I hardly get to spend any time with you anymore, you're always in this damn office."

I glared at her for the nickname. f*****g mom and her maxi baby s**t!

"You do realise that if I was not working, dear ally belly, you would be drowning in all that dept you make, people would go hungry or better yet, people would have no place to live. Are you willing to live with that?"

"Fine Brother, but you'll grow old and lonely being held up in this office all day."

She mumbles as she closed my office door and left.

"f**k you ally belly!"

I know she was right but I had a lot of things to take care of. Only my sister, mother and beta are allowed to speak to me like that. If it was any other person, they would be dead by now. I continued my paperwork when Joel my beta entered my office.

" You sent Ally to spar with me? Are you out of your mind? Sorry pal, I do not want your mother up my ass if Alice so much as has a scratch on her"

"I never sent her to you. I told her to find someone to spar with."

"She told me you sent her."

I didn't answer him. I have more important s**t to deal with. He will figure something out, that's why he's my beta.

"Hey, are you listening to me?"

He asked

"Hmmm"

He sighed, then left. He knew better than to bother me with s**t.

Thea's

P.O.V

Today is my first day at school and I'm nervous. I hate being the new kid but I love that I'm being given the opportunity to attend school again, and this would be my 6th school, mind you. Lenny dropped me off at the big front gates. Okay, this is out of my league. The schools I had attended before were never this grand.

"Break a leg, Thea!"

He yelled out of the window as he drove off.

If he knew how clumsy I was, he would take those words back! Alright, time to get this s**t show rolling. I'm quiet and very to myself, but I can be a hand full if I'm pushed too far. I headed straight for the office to meet Ms. Marley again. I was here yesterday with Jane to meet the principal, so I knew my way to the office.

Ms. Marley sat behind her desk, with her big glasses on, she had that pretty geek look and she was nice. I already had a liking in her.

"Welcome Thea..."

"Hi Ms. Marley, I'm here for my schedule please."

"Here you go, Thea, this is your schedule. Here is a map to help you get around in case you forget the tour yesterday, and this one is for extra activities. Please hand it back to me before school ends today. If there is anything else that you need, you are welcome to come and find me. Have a wonderful day."

"Thank you and you too, ma'am."

No. 18 is my locker, so I put away the things I didn't need and headed off for my first class of the day. English.... s**t I think I'm late, I didn't see a soul in the hallways, fuck... now all eyes will be on me when I enter.. The classroom door was open... so I knocked on the door....

"Welcome, Thea... come inside, settle down class. I would like to introduce you to Thea Newman. She is new to the school, so I'd like for everyone to make her feel welcome."

Everyone waved welcome to me and I smiled...

"Okay Ms. Newman, find a seat please"

I found an open seat at the back of the classroom. Opened up my English book when a girl slipped into the seat that was vacant next to me.

"Hi, the name's Stacey, welcome to Brighton High. Will you sit with me at lunch?"

"Sure"

I said with a smile.

An hour later, the class was over, so I checked my schedule, maths. I whispered to myself, favourite subject...

"Oh great, I have maths for my next class as well."

Stacey said, linking her arm with mine.

She led us to maths class, and before I knew it, it was lunch time. So far the day has been okay. No drama, thank the heavens and Stacey stuck by my side all morning. We had most of our classes together and it felt good that I didn't have to go through my first day of school looking like a completely lost puppy.

Stacey introduced me to some of her friends during lunch. They were all friendly and hilarious, but what was most important was that they treated me like I had been apart from their group and not like they had just met me. Maybe school wasnt going to suck after all.

Luke is fifteen years old, with brown eyes, curly brown hair and a nice body.

Jason is fourteen, with black hair and green eyes, he's quite the charmer, that one.

Sasha is also fourteen, with blonde shoulder-length hair and grey eyes. She's a shy one, hardly speaks much.

And then there is Tina. She is sixteen, with red hair and green eyes with beautiful freckles. The energy she has makes me tired on her part.

Everyone at this school seems to be in damn good shape and it doesnt even seem like any of them have any problems with looks. The girls could pass for runway models and as for the boys, they could easily pass for-muscle-sexy men ads. God truly blessed everyone here with good genes.

When lunch was over and classes flew by in a blink, it was home time.

"Thea wait up, my god where the hell are you speeding off to?"

Stacey asked as she caught up with me.

"I'm heading to the office. I have to hand in my extra activities form"

"Oh, what did ya pick? lemme see"

I handed her my paper and she frowned....

"So many girly things to pick from and you chose karate!"

"I've done judo, martial arts and kick boxing, so I would like to try karate."

"Damn, remind me never to piss you off and aren't they like all the same thing?"

"No, they are not all the same thing."

''Okay, come on, I'll walk with you to the office"

"Thank you"

"So where did you do all those things?"

"My once foster father was a trainer, he had his own club"

"Foster father?"

"I'm an orphan, sorry I never told you before."

"Hey, that's no problem."

"Thank you. That means a lot."

I handed my form over to Ms. Marley greeted her goodbye then left. Jane was waiting for me at the front gate.

All smiles.

"Hi honey, how was your first day? Oh Hi sweetheart"

Jane said to Stacey

"My first day was surprisingly good, and this is Stacey. Stacey, this is Ms. Jane, my adopted mother."

"Hello ma'am, it's lovely to meet you."

"It's lovely to meet you too, dear. I'm so glad Thea has made a friend already. Do you need a ride home?"

"Thank you for the offer, ma'am, but my brother will be here any minute to pick me up... oh there he is,"

A very handsome guy pulled up in what looked like a brand new sports car.... and damn, mother of Jesus, he was fine...

"Joel, come here for a sec. I would like you to meet my new friend."

Stacey said

"Hi ma'am, new friend"

he said with a smile,

"Joel, this is aunt Jane Thea's mother and this is my new friend Thea, and this over here is my annoying big brother Joel."

Stacey said

He gave both Jane and I a hug.... dammit he smells so damn good I could almost lick him... the f**k am I thinking, Stacey wouldn't want to be friends with me if she knew what I was thinking about her brother....

"It's wonderful to meet you, Aunt Jane, and new best friend Thea, but I'm afraid Stacey and I should be getting home. I have to get back to work."

"That's okay Joel, hopefully we can meet again."

Jane said to him with a smile.

Yes, definitely meeting you again... stop it Thea, that's so inappropriate.....
