“I had to learn how to stitch up my own wounds.” Sitara “Emaindi? bored?” I turned my gaze from TV to Elora who plopped down beside. (what happened) “Yup! I can’t even think of how I’m going to stay here for another ten days without my friends.” She chuckled as I looked bored. “Go out and meet Rishi and Pihu.” “Really? What I’m going to do with that middle schoolers?” I rolled my eyes. “Point.” She replied while I changed the channels. “Are you going somewhere?” I asked her as she dressed up. “Yup, wanna join?” She asked with hopeful eyes. “Sure where?” “Hospital.” “Your best friend?” “Yes, meeting him for lunch.” She replied standing up. “I will pass, bring me something when you return.” “You know, he isn’t going to say anything if he sees you. Come with me.” She said. “Nope.” “I don’t understand why you don’t like my best friends, they are good people.” “Sis, keep your good best friends. I ain’t interested in meeting them. They are way too old to hang out.” That made her laugh. “Hey, they aren’t old. It’s just that you are kiddo.” “Shut up. I didn’t ask you to befriend someone older.” “Lol sitara, he is 26. You are sounding as if my best friend is 56.” “Whatever.” She took her bag and keys leaving me alone in this huge f**k ass home. I groaned as I don’t know what to do. Mumma is at work, I don’t have any friends here to hang out. Nor my cousins are of my age to meet them, they are younger than me. I have two cousins who are my age but they are away with their friends. My sister’s friends are way too older than my age. She mostly hangouts with that doctor guy and the other guy Aarav. My mumma treats both of them as they are our family members, I don’t care though as I will hardly be home. I miss my school and the room which I share with my girls. Elora likes to stay home and be with her best friends while I like to go out and spend my time exploring things. I’m an outgoing person opposite to my sister Elora. I and my sister are opposite creatures in every matter. She is short while I’m tall. She doesn’t like sports while I love sports. She likes to have two or three friends while I make as many friends I can but not all of them are best friends. She adjusts herself according to the situation but I’m not like that. I don’t like to adjust myself if I’m not comfortable. I like to live and stay the way I love. I won’t adjust myself for anyone or anything. But I love my sister. I don’t tell her this but I’m truly blessed to have a sister like her. I don’t know how f****d up I would be if she isn’t here. I like to be a free bird and I don’t like working in my mom’s or dad’s business. She knows this which is why she left her dreams and took business administration. Whenever I and mumma argue about things, my sister would support me and talk with momma. My chain of thoughts broke when my phone started ringing, the phone belongs to Elora. I use this whenever I’m home. “Hello.” “Sitara, can you pick me up?” Elora asked. “Huh? don’t you have a lunch date with your best friend?” “Nah, he got an emergency.” she said. “Let’s go out for lunch then, share the location. I will be in twenty.” I said standing up. “Sure.” I ran to my room as I know Elora hates waiting. I changed into my jeans and a t-shirt. I don’t know where I put the scooty keys and it’s impossible to find them in my room as it is messy. I went to the living room where we have an extra set of keys. The best part of coming home is driving the two-wheeler scooty. I know how to drive a bike and I’m always up to drive in the evenings. I checked my w******p as Elora shared the location. Oh, so the doctor is working in Apollo, cool... Last year when I returned home for summer he became a doctor and went to Russia I guess to practise. I’m not sure but I remember mumma saying about how proud she is of David. I called my sister when I reached the hospital gates, I’m late and Hyderabad traffic sucks. I’m not even habituated to Hyderabad’s temperature, here the temperature is high in summer. You will be sweating because of the weather. She walked towards me with a scowl on her face. “Don’t blame me... The traffic sucks here and you can’t expect me to rush here.” “I’m carving for prawn biryani.” She said sitting in the back. “Where to?” “Secunderabad.” The roads changed and everything got better here, there are so many places here to visit. I planned everything and every place where I and my gang will be visiting. “A new restaurant?” I asked her as we reached the place. “The food is good and reasonable prices.” I observed the decor of the restaurant, it’s different and that old-style theme with bamboo decor. “When you will be having holidays?” “When your holidays end.” “Horrible.” I said and she laughed. Elora gets her holidays in June when I get the holidays in April and May. “So your gang is coming home?” she asked when I ordered my food. “Yes, I want you to talk with mum. We decided to visit places and I know mumma won’t agree, saying I’m too young to travel.” “I will talk with her but the driver will be there. You can’t drive yourself.” “Not that I’m complaining about it because I don’t have a licence.” “So captain mumma was saying you are doing so many notorious things in your school with your friends?” “Akka (sister), the teachers always complain about that to mum. You know me and staying quiet isn’t my thing.” “You can come to my college tomorrow if you want.” “Sure.” “So your friend is working in that hospital?” I asked. “Nah, he is taking training from some doctor. He will be returning to Russia after his holidays end.” She said. “How many years he will be studying? didn’t he finish his MBBS? I asked. “He completed his MBBS but his goal is to become a surgeon. So higher studies and all.”
