Claiming His Divorced Luna

Chapter 4

Alpha Damien’s POV

My cell phone has been beeping for a while. I glanced at the screen to see that it was Alice, so I decided to round up the files I was handling before picking up the call. I couldn't believe Alice was sobbing while speaking to me on the phone, this is just her first day alone in the palace while I'm at work, and she needs to be there for a month before she will be crowned the Luna.

I swallowed deeply as she complained bitterly and insisted that I return or she would leave the palace, and I didn't want such a thing to happen—so I wrapped up everything and dismissed from the office back to the palace.

She was sitting on the bed with the pillow between her thighs, her face was bent on the pillow. “Are you okay?'' I drew her attention and she lifted her face. She climbed down from the bed and headed towards me, then threw her arms around me. I cuddled her as she sobbed continuously, making me uncomfortable.

“She tore the golden chain you got for me because I cautioned her for leaving the palace last night without anyone's awareness and your order…” she muttered amidst tears. I patted her head gently. “Who's that?” my voice was a bit calm.

She let go of my body. “Lena of course, who else will have the right to challenge me in this palace if not her? She was less bothered by her work and was absent until this morning, and then she ended up tearing my chain because I cautioned her as her mistress—Beta Rex let her go out without your order, I suspect that they are dating, that's why he even saved her when I threw her into the torture room just to scare her a bit.” she narrated pitifully.

I felt a surge of anger and jealousy. Even though I divorced her, she should be with no one. She was sold to me and so I am the only one who can have her to myself and no other man.

“How dare Rex? Why would Lena tear the chain I spent so much on? Even if she sold, it can't replace the chain…'' I roared in anger. At this point, I couldn't tell why I was that angry, whether it was because she complained of Rex being close to Lena, or because of the chain. But I could feel jealousy taking over me, she must have torn the chain by mistake or out of anger, that's who Lena is—and I can easily replace it. “Where are they?'' I screamed, so furious.

She wiped her tears, “She took her to her room and has been with her all these while—”

I barged out of the room immediately and headed to see Lena, I just wished not to see her with Rex like Alice said or I wouldn't go easy on her ... but it happened like she said. Rex was so busy feeding Lena as they stared at each other that they didn't even notice my presence until I clapped my hands.

“Your Majesty!!” they chorused as I stepped into the room.

The plate of food was almost empty. “You fed her all these?'' I asked Rex and he nodded. I couldn't hold it back, I punched him harder then he stumbled backwards. Lena tried to make a move but a loud groan escaped her lips that I rushed to her but she pushed me off. “What do you think you're doing?” I screeched at her but she gave me a terrifying glare.

“I should be asking that question. What brought you here and what business do you have with Rex feeding me?” tears were gathered in her eyes and her voice seemed broken. I scoffed and shook my head. “You must be going crazy. What gave you the guts to let him touch you?”

“Why won't I let him go when I'm already divorced? You want me dead right? That's why you ordered her to whip me and even attempted to burn my skin if not that Rex retaliated ... ..and you still dare to stand before me and bark…” she exhaled a deep breath.

I must hear double. Did she just say that Alice whipped her and attempted to burn her skin? Something that I didn't even try to do when I kept her hostage and none of the servants have been treated that way. Why would Alice do that to her?

“She did that because you tore the chain I got for her, and why would you leave the palace without my order?” I queried her, although my heart was still heavy due to the complaint she just made to me, but I didn't have to act like I was against what Alice did.

Rex stepped forward. “I permitted her to leave because she has been indoors for three months.”

“Are you that insane?'' I lifted my hand but Lena held my trousers. “You can hit me, he can't suffer for saving me from the hands of that b***h you brought in here—vent your anger on me…” she held me back, speaking boldly.

I put down my hand. “In case you've forgotten, your parents sold you to me, and so no man has the right over you except me—” I reminded her. She must have forgotten, but that was the deal.

I could see the tears struggling in her eyes, but I didn't mind. I made my way towards the door and glanced backwards, my eyes fell on her bare back that exposed the bruises she got from the whip. Anger filled me that moment that I slammed the door heavily, I headed to see Alice that moment to see her pacing around her room.

“You must be happy that I acted that way right?” my presence startled her. I walked closer. “Why on earth would you do that to your fellow woman?” there was no atom of smile on my face.

She stretched her lips. “She's a servant, and she disobeyed me that she even tried to fight me—that's why.”

I didn't believe that. “I don't treat my servants that way, and I never for once hurt her physically until our contract ended. But I hurt her emotionally because she was longing to be loved but I didn't want to. When it comes to hitting and beating her up—I dared not do that, so I see no reason for you to do that to any of my servants including her…only slaves and criminals are given such torture." I paused and swallowed my saliva while she stood immobile, watching me, knowing that I still had a lot to tell her.

“You must have raised your hand on her that made her tear the chain, but you see the situation she is in now because of you…. I don't like it and I won't tolerate it any longer…" I concluded.

She held my hands. “Are you going to let them date?”

I sniffed, I wondered why she was so interested in that. “Do you want her to replace you?”

She shook her head. “I already cautioned them..”

“Throw them out of the pack if they stay together again…” that statement made me dumb, and I wondered what she had upstairs. “Lena will starve and not get paid until the money for my chain is complete—don't interfere, this is the matter of the internal court and I have to take care of it…” she added, gluing my feet to the floor with the words that left her lips.
