FOREVER IN MY EMBRACE

CHAPTER 2

  I wished my dreams to come true but it was always the nightmare that kept visiting me

After finishing all the shopping and meeting the priest we were now heading back home , it was already dark and if arjun wasn't here with me then i would be shivering in fear , since our home was on the outskirts of the city , the way to our home was very deserted , the area was a forested one , noone lived here besides us .

"so where do you wanna go on the honeymoon" he asked me , i was still playing games on his phone , i wished i had  this cool thing too , but arjun said it's a bad influence , i wonder why he keeps it then , doesn't it influence him too . 

"honeymoon?" i asked confused , this was the first time i had heard this world . 

"yep honeymoon " he said grinning from ear to ear "well it's a type of romantic vacation which a couple goes after their marriage " he said and my cheeks heated up , my whole attention was now on arjun who was looking completely normal and there my heart was pounding like crazy in my chest , from the fairytale books i knew the word romance , but my knowledge was limited to kisses , i bit my lips nervously , my ears and cheeks felt hot .

"look at you , you are blushing " i glared at arjun who teasing me .  

"ahh" i gasped when the car suddenly stopped with the jerk , even though i had the seatbelt on but because of the sudden jerk i almost hit the windshield but arjun protected me by bringing his hand in between me and the windshield , then it happened so fast that i just couldn't comprehend the situation  , the four cars infront of us blasted in air one by one , the air filled with smoke , my hands went cold and i could feel the color of my face leaving. 

"hide under rooh and don't come out no matter what happens , ok " arjun cupped my cheeks and looked deep into my eyes 

"b-but where are y-you going n-no don't leave me" i begged as i clutched his wrist not letting him go anywhere .  

"don't worry i''ll be ok , trust me" he said and kissed my forehead . 

i hid under as i saw arjun stepping out of the car , the rest of the bodyguards following him , for few minutes it was silent but then i heard it all , the screaming , the gun shots , the sounds that wanted me to be anywhere but here , i was worried for arjun , i didn't know who were these people , it's my mistake , i should have just stayed home , it's all my fault , the painful screams and sinister laughter was all i heard when it was again deadly silent , again i tried to call dai-jaan from arjun's phone but there were no signals . 

My heart couldn't beat at a normal pace anymore , it was ready to explode any second and leave me dead , taking deep breathes i slowly peeked through the windshield , it was all deadly silent , no one in the view , as if i was all alone here , along with those burnt cars  . 

I was scared , no scratch that i was petrified , my whole body was trembling in fear , my cheeks were drenched because of the amount of tears i had shed , shivering i opened the car door and hesitantly stepped outside , it was a deserted area , only covered with forests on either side of the road , the night was dark and cold , the only thing that let me see through this darkness was the headlights of our car and the fire coming through the blasted cars . 

I walked through the cars only to see the burnt dead bodies of the guards in those cars , the road was now covered with blood , all red . my heart cried in horror , the silence and the view was haunting , yet i gathered all the courage i had in me to still keep walking . 

My eyes widened in horror and i found myself running in the direction where i saw arjun lying on the road unconscious and bloody , ignoring all those scary men who were keeping the rest of our guards at gun point . 

"ar-arjun arjun please wake up " I cried as i shook him furiously to bring him back . 

"arjun please , wake up please i am scared , a-arjun" i patted his cheeks but he was still unconscious , his forehead was bleeding profusely , i kept my dupatta on his forehead to stop the bleeding but instead my dupatta was now soaked in his blood .  

"boss what we have do with his men " i heard one of the man who was pointing at our bodyguard asking on a phone call.

I was just looking at our bodyguards who were as terrified as me and suddenly all of our bodyguards were shot down in front of me , the scene was so horrifying that i felt my soul leaving my body , tears rolled down uncontrollably as i saw some more lives leaving right infront of me . It was brutal and cruel .  

"ah" i winched as i felt a pinch on my neck , before i could do anything i felt myself surrendering to the darkness.

Few hours later

"rooh ...jaan(love)  rooh open your eyes" I stirred in my sleep when i felt a distant yet familiar voice calling out for me , my head was throbbing in pain , even the simple task of trying to open my eyes was painful , with great difficulty i opened my eyes only shut them again , the light was too much causing a pain to my already sore eyes now . 

"rooh open your eyes slowly " i followed the instruction of the voice and opened my eyes slowly , this time it was less painful , everything was blurry at first but then the vision started to get clear , the first thing i saw was the grey ceiling , my eyes roamed around in curiosity but when my eyes landed on the familiar person , something clicked and i realized the situation i was in . The car blast , the voices , the blood , the dead bodies , arjun and those guards . 

"rooh "I flinched at the sound but i still turned my head towards the voice ,shock was an understatement when i saw arjun tied up in the chair , though the bleeding had stopped but i could see the huge gash on his forehead , i can't even imagine the pain he must be in , so without wasting any second I moved to free him but then I realized that my own hands were tied to the headboard of the bed and my legs too .i tried to free my hands but couldn't , the handcuffs bruised my wrists .  

"rooh don't , jaan you will hurt yourself...you'll be safe I promise" arjun's voice caused me to stop my actions .  

I was about to say something when suddenly the door of the room burst open . A man in his late 20s entered , he was intimidatingly tall 6 ft almost . His black hairs were jelled back perfectly , this was the first time i was watching any other man besides arjun and ayaan bhai who was this handsome , he was wearing a blue jeans and a tightly fitted black shirt , his muscles were evident , the sleeves were rolled up , giving the view of his tanned skin which were covered with tattoos , making him look more scary , a sudden dread settled inside me when i his eyes met mine , at that time i was sure that even though this man was beautiful on the outside , there was no beauty inside him , those eyes just said it all .  

"who the hell are you bastard " arjun yelled on the mysterious man who was still looking at me , at that point i wanted to vanish in the thin air somehow and never come back into his site again . He looked at me with an evil glint in his eyes making me want to run for hills . I gulped as he smirked at me and then he removed his gaze off me and then back to arjun . 

"oh sorry , where are my manners how can I forget to introduce myself to my precious guests here" he chuckled and rolled his eyes 

"come straight to the point" arjun's jaw was clenched , his nose was flaring in anger and his eyes blood red . 

"I am Rehaan Goenka , does it ring some bell " he introduced as he walked over to him , arjun was shocked before he masked his emotions and gave him a blank face , does arjun know this scary man , who is this man , is he one of those bad men who doesn't like arjun and wants to harm him . 

only if she knew the man was going to be her biggest nightmare ............
