I stood in the corner feeling out of place as we rode the elevator to the top floor. Xander didn't say anything the whole ride and neither did I. The elevator finally came to a stop and the doors slid open. Xander walked out of the elevator first, then turned to make sure I was following him. I was right behind him. He walked over to the only door on the floor and sipped in his key card. The door opened, and he walked in with me right behind him. "I'm in the main suite," he said, pointing to the door to his right. "You can use the room over there," he said, pointing to a door across from us. "Thank you." I said, feeling awkward. "Have you eaten anything?" he asked. "I stopped earlier." I said, not wanting him to worry about me. I just needed to get a few hours' sleep, and then I would be out of here. "I was going to order some room service. Would you like something?" he asked, giving me a hopeful smile. I looked at him and thought about it. I wanted nothing more than to pig out in my room and cry. "Yes, chocolate icecream, and chocolate cake sounds good with wipe cream mmm." I said, licking my lips. Xander laughed. "It sounds like you have a sweet tooth," he said with a smile. I blushed and looked at the ground. "I got you covered. The kitchen makes the best cholate pie I have ever had. I ordered it last night and for breakfast this morning," he said, smiling at me. "You're not the only one with a sweet tooth." I looked at his body. I didn't believe him. There was no way you could have a sweet tooth like that and look the way he looked. He didn't have an ounce of fat on his body. I looked up at him and raised my eyebrows at him. He held up his hands. "No really, it's bad. I had to spend an extra two hours at the gym this morning to try and burn off some of the room service sweets I been eating." he said with a laugh. "I'll get us some room service." he said, smiling and walking over to the phone sitting on the table in the middle of the room we stood in. "I'm going to go clean up and change if that is okay." "Of course," he said, waving his hand to the room he told me I could use. I walked into my room and my mouth dropped. It was beautiful. The first thing you notice is the king-sized bed in the middle of the room. To the right was a walk-in closet and to the left was a full bathroom. There were two wood dressers that looked hand carved. The craftsmanship was incredible. The headboard was carved out the same way the dressers were. There was a huge window that looked out onto a lake I never noticed. It was beautiful. I went into the bathroom and was surprised and happy to see that the bathroom was fully stocked with soaps and shampoos. They were full-sized bottles. I turned the shower on and let the room fill up with steam. Once the bathroom was warmed up, I climbed into the shower. The hot water felt amazing on my skin. I closed my eyes and let the water run down me. The memory of Tony screwing that girl on the counter flooded my mind. My eyes shot open. I didn't want to think about Tony. I didn't realize I had started crying until there was a knock on the bedroom door. "Jazmine? Are you okay?" Xander asked from the other side. I couldn't get myself under control enough to get the words to come out. I was so mad and hurt. I can't believe he would do that to me. I thought he loved me. "Jazmine?" Xander called again. "I-I-I'm F-F-Fine." I managed to get out. "You don't sound fine." Xander said through the door. I didn't even try to answer him this time. I knew it would be no use. I was crying uncontrollably at that point. "I'm coming in," he said. I tried to say no, but the words would not form. All I could do was cry and try to get my breathing under control. "Jazmine?" Xander said from outside the shower. A loud sob came out of me in response. "I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable, but I can't stand by while you are this upset." he said, sounding worried. "I'm okay." I managed to get out in between sobs. "Jazmine, please your breaking my heart. You don't sound okay. Please talk to me." he begged. I stuck my hand out of the shower and after a second he handed me a towel. I turned the water off and wrapped it around me. I was nervous to step out of the shower with him standing there. "I'll wait outside while you get dressed." he said, and I let out a relieved breath. I waited until I heard the door open and close before I climbed out of the shower. I dried off and put the clothes on I got out of my car. The shirt hung off my shoulder and the shorts were a little short. I blushed when I looked at myself in the mirror. Now I was wishing I had grabbed different clothes from my car. I took a deep breath and counted to five before letting it out and opening the door. Xander was pacing in front of it and stopped when he saw me. He looked at me with a worried look, then pulled me into his arms. I wanted to push him away and tell him not to touch me. But his arms felt warm, and his warmth filled my body. It felt nice. I closed my eyes and embraced his warmth. I don't know how long we stood there like that. All I knew was I didn't want him to let me go. Xander seemed to feel the same way. He didn't let me go until there was a knock at the door letting us know room service had arrived. He reluctantly let me go to answer the door. The server walked in pushing a cart full of food, and not just any kind of food. It was full of sweets. There was icecream, pies, whipped cream, candy bars, cakes and brownies. There was even a pitcher of cold milk. I looked at Xander and smiled. Xander signed the receipt and handed it back to the server. The server smiled and left the cart as he left the room. Xander moved the cart over to the couch that sat in front of a huge stone fireplace. I watched as he loaded all the sweets onto the table in front of the couch, then he went over and started the fireplace. "I thought you were hot?" I asked, confused. "I am, but you are freezing." he said, grabbing the blanket on the back of the armchair off to the side and wrapping it around me. "Come sit down." he said, gesturing to the couch. I smiled and sat down. He handed me a plate of the chocolate pie and I smiled. I took a bite and let out a satisfied moan. Xander smiled. "I told you. It's amazing, isn't it?" he said, taking a bite of his own piece. I nodded my head and took another bite. "So, tell me why you were so upset," he said, then took another bite of his pie. "I don't want to bore you with my problems." I said, not looking at him. "I promise you won't bore me." he said, giving me a small smile. "It's nothing."
