A hand grabbed my hood as I was sneaking into campus, nearly toppling me backwards before I found out I was anchored to the spot. Nervous, I looked behind me to see Angela frowning.
“You missed first period. Why are you here just now?”
Sighing in relief, I pulled my hood over my head and turned to leave. “I overslept.”
Angela followed me up to our classroom. “You overslept,” she deadpanned. “And your mother let you?”
“Yeah, well.” The hell my mother gave me was bearable compared to whatever hell I was going to catch from Nicholas.
God, God, why did I have to do that?
I clenched my teeth.
No matter how angry I was, I shouldn’t have been that recklessly stupid. As if falling in love with that devil wasn’t enough, I even went and stole a kiss from him. A kiss!
