Chapter 7 : The truth about Oliver

 The next day, in the morning. Kevin was sleeping in the soft and comfortable bed in his room, with a lot of bandages on his body, the result of the battle he had last night, plus the hit wound from his mother who didn't know Kevin was injured, because at that time the house was dark, and Kevin came by sneaking.

That morning, Kevin's mother came into the room bringing breakfast for her child, then after putting breakfast on the table, the mother spoke to Kevin.

 “You have a cellphone, why is every time i call, you never pick it up. So i don't know if you had an accident yesterday. " Said the mother admonished Kevin.

 It seems that, last night, to cover up the truth about the wounds on his body, Kevin made up the excuse that the injuries were caused by an road accident, so that his mother wouldn't know about Kevin's fight against monsters, or about any other dangerous business Kevin was doing. So from now on, Kevin must be able to better manage his schedule.

 Then Kevin answered his mother's words, “I told you I didn't want to made you worry, so I didn't pick up the call from you. Never mind, don't worry about me, I'll be fine. " Said Kevin.

 “How can i not worry ?? With your injuries like that, you don't even want to be taken to the hospital!"

 "That's not necessary mom, I'll definitely get well soon."

 "Hmm ... You're starting to be like your father. That always makes me worry ... Anyway, from now on, don’t you back home at night anymore. " Said the mother as she walked out of the room.

 "Fyuuh."

 Moving on to another place, which is the building headquarters of the NeoGen company, the size of the building is very high and wide, the architecture is quite magnificent, with the NeoGen logo clearly plastered at the very top of it. The location of the building is in the elite area of the capital, and it surrounded by other magnificent buildings.

 NeoGen is a company that produces many products for daily activities, which of course do not require electricity as energy, because each NeoGen product has its own energy which is much more efficient and environmentally friendly. But behind all that, actually NeoGen gets those energy for its products from the horns of the monsters that are hunted every night by the NeoGen's monster hunter squad. That means, NeoGen takes advantage from phenomenon of the monster appearance, that came out from the dimensional rift to generate their personal gain.

 Currently, in that building, Cross, who is the leader of the NeoGen monster hunter squad, is seen walking in the lobby, wearing casual clothes that can accentuate his muscles. Cross walked into the elevator to get to the top floor. He intended to come to the CEO's room, while carrying a tablet in his hand, it seemed there was something important that Cross wanted to show to the CEO.

 Arriving at the top floor, Cross immediately walked again, he passed the secretary's table and immediately knocked on the door of the CEO's room, after which the people who were there invited him to enter.

 When Cross entered, he was greeted by the CEO who was standing at his desk while reading a book, the figure of the CEO looking so handsome and young, with the neat black suit he was wearing, making him look even more elegant, especially with his tall and proportional posture. The CEO is named Ivan Chesni, a placard bearing his name prominently displayed on the desk in the room.

 "Oh, Cross. Its you ... Good afternoon. "

 "Good afternoon sir, I bring you information regarding a suspicious person who appeared in our hunting process 2 days ago." After entering the room, Cross immediately showed the tablet screen he had brought to Ivan the CEO.

 "Hmm. Let me see."

 "His name is Kevin Icardi, he works as an office employee at a spare parts company. At first glance there is nothing strange about his life, but after we searched more deeply about his background, we found a surprising fact. "

 "What is that?" Asked Ivan.

 "He is the son of Alan Icardi, a scientist who used to work at this company along time ago, but he was declared missing and killed in a fieldwork accident 15 years ago."

 "Hmm, I know Alan Icardi, he is a very great scientist. Together with his two friends named Rengga and Rudolf, the three of them are known as the trio of divine scientists."

 "D- you know them ?? But it happened a long time ago. What was your position at that time? " Cross was both amazed and curious.

 "I've been a CEO for 17 years." Ivan replied.

 “Wh- what? I'm sorry if I suddenly ask you like this, but, how old are you now?"

 "I'm 40 years old."

 "Wow. But you still look young."

 "Hmm, thank you for the compliment. I often do routine treatment, you should try it from now on." Said Ivan.

 "Yes, one day, I'll try it, sir."

 "Hmm, oh yeah, about Kevin's problem, I will leave him to you ... Maybe he wants to find out more about his father's information, that's why he's meddling in our business. Don't let that amateur guy bother you again, right, next time you have to made him give up, so he can return to his normal life as usual. "

 "Yes sir, I'm ready to do it." Cross said as he left the room.

 Then, Ivan walked to the window and he looked up at the sky. "Hmm, Kevin Icardi ... Will he be caused trouble? Just like his father. " Murmured Ivan.

 It was getting late in the afternoon. Turning again to Kevin, who is currently still lying on the bed in his room. All day long he kept thinking about Oliver, the gargoyle monster who had saved his life yesterday. Kevin was still confused about Oliver, should he trust Oliver or not? Because even though Oliver had saved him, he was still a monster.

 Therefore, to get rid of his curiosity, Kevin decided to investigate Oliver further, by spying on his behavior from a distance. Kevin immediately got up from his bed, then he removed the bandages that covered his hands and feet, so now he could move more freely.

 Most of the wounds on Kevin's body are almost healed. Because since he was little, Kevin already has strong immunity and a fast healing process, but so far he has not realized that this is the effect of the power monsters that are in his body. And now he just realized about it, but still even so, the power of the monsters in Kevin's body hadn't fully awakened, so he still couldn't fight or match the strength of the monsters.

 When it was getting late, Kevin told his mother that he was going to sleep early tonight, so he immediately locked his room. But after that he slipped out of his bedroom window to go to Oliver's place. He went on his motorbike to Oliver's apartment to begin investigating the behavior of that monster gargoyle, which doesn't eat human flesh.

 Long story short, when Kevin arrived at the bottom floor of the apartment where Oliver lives, he immediately went upstairs while turning on the monster detection device, because who knows Oliver is turning into a monster, or there is a sense of killing intent released by Oliver.

 Then Kevin was surprised because the detector screen showed that there were 3 red dots in Oliver's apartment room, even though the 3 red dots only appeared briefly and returned to dim, but that was enough to make Kevin assume that Oliver was inviting his gargoyle riends to his apartment room, so Kevin was immediately prejudiced.

 After being near his destination, Kevin immediately stood behind the far wall opposite the door of Oliver's apartment room, he patiently waited while continuing to pay attention to the door of the room, he did not want to act rashly, because Kevin knew that he still could not fight those monsters, besides that Kevin also didn't want to call the authorities or monster hunters, because he was afraid things would get worse, so he decided to keep waiting.

 A Moments later, the thing Kevin was waiting for finally arrived, 2 men came out of the door along with Oliver. The three of them were wearing casual clothes and looked like they were going somewhere, but the expressions on their faces were tense.

 Kevin, who saw this, immediately followed them from behind while keeping his distance so that he could not be caught. Oliver and the two men went downstairs, then they all got into a car which was parked there, and then they left the apartment. Meanwhile, Kevin quickly rode his motorcycle to continue following them, because Kevin still had suspicions that Oliver was now going to do human hunting with his friends.

 "Hmm, where are they going?" Kevin wondered in his mind.

 Long story short, the car driven by Oliver arrived in an area near the water with many container boxes lined up there, they were in a very large dock area with quiet atmosphere because it was late at night. But apparently there is an activity of group gathering people at the corner of the pier. So the atmosphere at that point of location feels a little crowded like a party is being held.

 The people who gathered there consisted of men and women dressed as punks or thugs, with large motorbikes lined up around the place where they were gathered, as well as laughter and mutually shouting chats that made the atmosphere there livelier.

 Oliver came with 2 men who had been with him all along, their arrival was greeted with great fanfare by all the people who had gathered there. Meanwhile, from a distance, Kevin was hiding while watching Oliver, who looked quite awkward when he was in that place.

 Then, after Oliver stood in the middle of the place, the two people who had come with him immediately joined those who had been gathered there, then the two people stood facing Oliver while giving Oliver a cynical look. After that, in an instant, the atmosphere there turned into silence because they all suddenly stopped their activities, then they all stood facing and surrounded Oliver with serious facial expressions. Whereas Oliver was just silent and just stood upright as if he was not afraid of them all. The atmosphere there suddenly turned tense.

 And Kevin, who saw this, immediately felt amazed and curious, what was Oliver actually doing in the middle of a dangerous crowd people who looked like a gang?

 Then suddenly there was a burly man wearing a vest and worn jeans, who started walking over to Oliver and standing in front of him, so that they both looked at each other's faces. That man seemed to be the leader and person who was feared and respected the most by everyone who was there. The man's posture was tall and stocky, with a face that looked fierce, and his hair was wrapped in a bandana. His presence was able to make Oliver a little shudder, but Oliver tried not to show his fear, he still gave the burly man a serious look.

 Then the burly man said, "Oliver."

 "George." Oliver said, as if the two of them already knew each other.

Then suddenly a punch that was quite hard shot by George on Oliver's face, causing Oliver's body to fall immediately and then he endured the pain in a prostrate state. Kevin, who saw Oliver being hit, instantly felt shocked.

 After hitting Oliver, then George said, “I told you, don't get involved in my business anymore. But it turns out you are did it again!"

 Spitting out blood, Oliver asked back. "What have I done?"

 “You are the one who killed Qyuzi the restaurant owner! He's the gargoyle under my protection. Besides that, he is also always obedient to pay his security money to me."

 "How do you know that was I, who killed him?" Asked Oliver, trying to stand up.

 "I have many informers scattered all over the streets, even I also know that you have saved and helped a human who should have become a Qyuzi prey ... Because of you, that human was able to survive. Now, be ready to receive punishment from me! ” Said George.

 "Punishment?"

 "Yes, for your actions, you must be sentenced to death here. As a gargoyle that doesn't prey on humans, you've humiliated your kinds! I won't let you live any longer."

 Then Oliver said. “Wow wow, wait a minute, the two of them who asked me to come here, said that you just wanted to talk to me. And if I don't want to come, then your men will kill all the residents in my apartment building.” Said Oliver.

 "Yes, that's exactly what will happen, after I finish you here, then me and my troops will invade your apartment, and kill everyone who is there!" George said with a smile, followed by laughter from everyone around him.

 After realizing that George and his subordinates have a bad plan. So Oliver started to get angry. Then he said.

 “I won't let you do that !! In my apartment building there are elderly and small children!"

 “What do I care about them huh ?? !!! We will eat them all!” Shouted George.

 After hearing George's words, Oliver immediately took off his clothes, then Oliver's form turned into a burly gargoyle monster with green horns and thorn hair. Oliver prepares to fight George and all the gargoyles who are there, with anger rising inside him.

 While George did not want to be outdone, he also immediately took off his clothes and transformed into a fierce gargoyle monster, with horns that resembled a crown on his head and muscles bigger than Oliver.

George said in a big voice. "Let's finish this battle quickly, before our presence is detected by the monster hunters."

 "RAAAAAAHHHHH !!!" Oliver immediately ran towards George.

 Emotionally the two of them attacked each other in the form of extremely fierce and violent monsters, both of them possessed great strength and very dangerous fighting abilities. With muscles and claws in their hands, which is the main weapon for the gargoyle monster. They fight and keep attacking each other fiercely.
