Japheth Regina had texted me around noon to let me know that she wouldn’t be home for dinner, because she was meeting a client at The Palms. I suppose it was thoughtful that she even thought to inform me of her schedule. I knew Regina’s job involved a lot of meetings and a lot of traveling, but I couldn’t help the feeling of jealousy and uneasiness that flared up at the mention of meeting a client at the Palms.
