CHAPTER THIRTY ONE

1138 Words
Bellia’s Point Of View Gabriel took me to my dorm, he refused me when I said he could accompany me tonight in the dorm. I don’t have anyone here in my dorm because my roommate I used to be with went to a different school, she suddenly left for reasons I don’t know, but I have contact with her but I’m humiliated and I don’t have the courage to call her to say hello. “Leave a message or dial my number if you need something, okay? I can’t stay here in your dorm and let Matthew do all the stuff, Matthew needs me. You can’t come with us because we will be fixing things overnight, and we’ll wait for his friend’s call.” He peeked behind me and quickly turned his gaze to me. “We don’t have any classes until tomorrow morning, right? It is the right timing, your alarm would be at 4 a.m., to be exact. I’ll call you if you don’t wake up to the alarm, you lackadaisical, don’t worry.” I nodded as I looked down to my knees, and I got startled when he suddenly held my nape and kissed me on my head. “Don’t be afraid of everything, Belle. Good night.” He said as he patted my head and walked away from me. I watched him walking far away from me as I slowly caressed my head where he kissed me, what was that? Why did he have to kiss me on my head? “Good night!” I shouted when I noticed that he turned left to take the stairs. He said they would put some CCTV cameras in the warehouse we went to earlier. That place is too quiet and secluded, we will take Jordan there in case we succeed in k********g, our plan is dreadful, yes, and we can be kicked out of Andreada University if some students will catch us, but we have to do it and we have no choice but to kidnap her. We need to convince Jordan to speak up, otherwise, justice will not be served on Mang Sinlac’s death. I am not ready for what will happen later, hopefully, no one will catch us some students. I grabbed the doorknob and I was about to open the door but it was already steaming. I don’t know why it opened slightly but I ignored it. I entered my dorm with a heavy breath. “I need to rest.” I groped the switch on the wall and then pressed it but the light didn’t turn on. I turned it on again and pressed it a few times but nothing happened. I took my cellphone out of my pocket as I took off my other boots. The light of my cellphone was shining on my face, my two eyes were getting smaller because its light was too high so I lowered the brightness. I dialed Gabriel’s contact number and then called him. “Hi, Gab.” I said when I heard him answer my call, while I was waiting for him to answer I completely took off my boots. I heard on the other line that he pressed the keyboard as if they were using a computer, but he just left, it was impossible for him to be there right away, where is he now? “Hey, what’s up? Why did you call me up?” I looked around me. “There’s a power interruption, I guess? Suddenly there was a power outage here, I don’t know when it started, you know I can’t sleep when there’s no sound of an electric fan, right?” I grabbed the doorknob and then went out to see if there was really a power outage and if I wasn’t the only one who lost power. “Is this serious?” I exclaimed when I saw that there were lights on the other building. I frowned at what I saw and then grabbed the doorknob. “There is electricity in the other building, Gab, maybe there is also here in the building, but I have not received an interruption that will lose power, the MCU will message me immediately if there will have.” “Do not go to the security room, it would be better if you call the fixer, just stay in your dorm, okay? Just message ‘em, wait for the fixer to check yours, okay?” He said on the other line in a calm voice. I nodded as I looked in the hallway and let go of the doorknob. “Yes, I will. Maaga pa naman, makakatulog pa ako nito. Thank you.” I exclaimed. “By the way, where are you now? I just heard someone pressing a keyboard, was that you? Uh, you just left and it was a lil’ bit far from here to our abandoned place, so?” “I’m with Matthew right now, he waited for me in front of the building, he used his motorcycle to get here right ahead. He got speed, don’t you know that thing about him?” He adduced. I nodded my head again and caressed my left arm where I held my cellphone as I felt a bit cold. “Okay? Okay. So, I’m hanging up. Take care of you two.” “Mm-hmm. Good night. Take care, too.” I hung it up and looked at my cellphone’s screen, “8 p.m., huh? Okay, so, where is the fixer’s contact here?” I said and scrolled down. I sent a short message to the fixer and after that, I turned on my flashlight as I turned back inside my dorm. I held the doorknob and I was about to close the door but I saw in my vision that there was someone standing beside the door. I quickly turned the flashlight in the direction and I saw a human standing there, with a black mask all over its face to cover it. I couldn’t see what it was wearing because it was dark all over the corner inside my dorm. I wasn’t able to let out my breath because of the smell of its handkerchief. It was so strong that I couldn’t breathe properly. I tried to catch my breath but I couldn’t do it, it was the first time that I had smelled this kind of perfume in all of my years of existence. In just a few seconds my eyes and my body weighed down. I still couldn’t close my eyes because the weight of my two eyes suddenly lit up my room. I don’t know the person who hugged me right now, who are you? I could no longer feel my standing when my eyes slowly closed. “Sleep well there, darling.”
