Chapter 05:Hack maneuvered the long, narrow boat with surprising grace. Despite his lack of a tail, he moved about the low-slung craft with a sure-footed practiced elegance. She doubted her ability to match his dexterity on the moving platform.
Before the slow-motion collision, he reversed the thrusters and spun the wheel. The boat slipped sideways toward the ramshackle dock.
Directly behind the target moorage stood a large off-world shipping container. She knew it was alien from the intricate foreign lettering splayed over the front double doors. It had patches of multicolored paint, either to hide the rust or break up the silhouette of the structure and make it harder to spot under the spreading yorba trees.
