While Valerie pleaded on Alex to stop being violent and remember that they were dating, Alex still ran towards her to finish her off. Suddenly, Alex stopped mid-way as a voice could be heard coming from the woods.
"Stop! It's to early to start the kill party my humble servant. Let's reserve her for the last." Lord Zane said as he came closer to them with his league of fierce looking men ready to drink blood.
"Lucinda, my child, you've done so well. My two sons are failures, but I had faith in you and you didn't fail." Lord Zane said giving Lucinda a warm hug.
"Father, this isn't right. What do you want to achieve turning a human into a beast? Can't you let go of all these unnecessary fights? All they want is peace. Dad please stop all these." Gabriel begged his father on seeing him as he struggled to get up amidst his pains.
"Just look at you, useless son of mine. Look how you've reduced yourself to nothing after being blessed with immortality by the heaven's." Lord replied Gabriel looking so disgusted and ashamed of him.
"Well, it isn't late. I can still accept and forgive your stupidity and foolishness if only you can come now and apologize at my feet and claim your loyalty at me." Lord Zane said with a lot of pride and confidence.
Gabriel walked closer to his father, he knelt down before his father. Lord Zane was already becoming happy seeing his son at his feet to acknowledge his sins against him and apologize duly.
"Yes I've wrong you, dad. I never thought this would ever happen between us." Gabriel said looking so pitiful still kneeling before Lord Zane.
Lord Zane smiled devilishly seeing that his son was trying to apologize to him for his wrongdoings.
"But I'm glad that this happened between us. And I swear on this day to join the merged world to bring an end to your reign." Gabriel said as he was immediately smacked in the face by his father for defying him.
Lord Zane got really angry at his son's denial of his being and swearing to bring to his father's end. He immediately told his men to capture Alex as they were about to retreat to the underworld.
"No, please don't take him with you, I beg you please." Valerie cried out as she begged the vampires not to take her man with them.
"Oh, so you too, can beg." Lord Zane said mockingly as he laughed wickedly at Valerie who was in so much pain.
"Where is your bravery? Your audacity? Your strength? Huh! Oh so you know how it feels to loose to? Well, I won this time and I won it so big. Just wait the real party is about to start. When I've stuffed your lover over there with enough human blood, you won't be able to match his abilities anymore. Just wait, the real war is about to start."Lord Zane said as he laughed the loudest as they headed out with Alex in chains and cuffs.
Valerie cried out calling on Alex to remember her and fight the demons in his head, but her pleas were futile as it feel on deaf ears.
Elizabeth came to the scene moments later, finding all three them lying on the ground, all weak and bloodied, with deep cuts and bruises.
Accompanied with Elizabeth, were her squad members. She ordered her men to carry the wounded to Valerie's house to be attended to. She also ordered one of her men to get Maria and some doctors that would help treat Valerie and the others.
Few minutes, they were all at Valerie's house. Maria also got their as fast as she could.
Maria and the doctors started treating the wounded as they got the medical tools ready.
Maria slit her right hands to get blood out. The doctors would use the blood to heal tie wounded.
While Gabriel was supplied with a lot of synthetic blood to help him heal his own wounds. As Gabriel got better, he told Elizabeth all that went down in the woods.
"Then, we've an even more deadly problem on our hands. We've to buckle up our security as much as we could." Elizabeth said.
"That's not it, Elizabeth, don't you get the point? Buckling up the security against who? Alex, Valerie's fiance. My dad, really outsmarted us this time. Or are we really going to kill Alex? Because that the only way out." Gabriel said looking so frustrated and confused at everything.
"Don't worry Gabriel, the situation seems tough. But, I've strong hope and faith in Valerie, we're going to scale through this hurdle victoriously. And believe me when I say that." Elizabeth said looking so hopeful.
It was like they all needed Elizabeth's hope and faith to hang unto at that time because they all lost hope knowing the kind of calamity that has befallen their world.
Valerie was still unconscious, while Joe was still in much pains but was fully awake.
Elizabeth sent out a worldwide security notification informing everyone of the recent happenings. She also advised everyone to be careful with their movement as they wouldn't want to add to the underworld's number of puppets.
Meanwhile, at the underworld, Alex was made to kneel before Lord Zane as he was been feed with human blood from a chalice.
He was given a lot to drink to his satisfaction. When he was finally satisfied, he roared out so loud. He could feel tremendous energy and strength passing through his veins and body.
"Yes boy! Roar like lion! Feel that energy flow from your heart to your whole body. You are the strongest and no one come close!" Lord Zane hailed him as Alex roared.
Lucinda was also given lots of blood to drink as she hasn't had some in days. As there were a feast and merriments in the castle.
At the same time, one of the dungeon guards informed Dawn about the the actualization of the puppet spell and how it was perfectly done by Lucinda.
