Few days after, Valerie had regained consciousness. But looked so down as she looked out the window of her bedroom.
She turned around and touched the bed she shared with Alex while remembering all the steamy s*x and fun times she shared with Alex.
As she remembered, tears rolled down her eyes. She walked out of the bedroom to the dinning room, she took a cup and was about to drink water with, it slipped off her hands and it fell to the floor, shattering to pieces.
She bent down to pick up pieces of the broken up, while doing that she remembered all the arguments she had with Alex. She started blaming herself for Alex turning to a beast and being captured by the vampires.
She started crying bitterly, he heart couldn't take the pains, and bitterness and brokenness she felt at that moment. All she wanted was Alex back.
"If I was more attentive, if had listened to him and allowed him to be involved in my business, maybe he could still be here with me." Valerie said to herself as she cried bitterly while her face turned red.
Suddenly, she received a call from Joe. She got reminded of the security meeting she was to attend due to the security notification Elizabeth had earlier sent across to everyone and everywhere in the merged world.
She wasn't even in the mood to attend any meeting, what could she really to talk about again at the meeting. She has lost and that's it for her. She could literally kneel before Lord Zane to get her man back.
But, she had to brace herself up, mustering courage to attend the security meeting as everybody would be waiting for her as the world security leader.
She got dressed in a chiffon top and a black jeans, wearing jungle boots too. And in no time she was at the venue of the meeting.
While at the meeting, she lacked concentration, her mind were only fixated on getting her man back. Even when she was called upon to give her own suggestions to the discussion, she just replied with no idea. She left all the decision making to Joe, her equal in security leadership.
When the meeting was finally done, she walked out looking so sad and not entertaining any pleasantries or side talks from anyone as she walk towards the most lonely part of the werewolf world.
As she got there she cried out her eyes and saying that the god of the lycans have forsaken her.
She didn't know that Michael and Anglo had followed her along.
"We're sorry for what happened to you Valerie. I wish I could help." Michael said feeling sympathetic towards her.
Valerie got startled as she turned around to see Michael and Anglo close to her
"We indeed feel your pain. But this isn't the time to cry Valerie. You're stronger than this." Anglo said trying to console her.
"Anglo I'm nothing, if I can't protect the one I truly love. What's the use of all these strength, if I can't protect my Alex. It's also my fault, Alex wanted to be part of my life but I stopped him from doing so. My life is miserable right now, I don't know what to think or do anymore." Valerie said as she cried out bitterly.
"Don't say that Valerie." Anglo said as she bent down towards Valerie who was sitting on the ground.
"Look at me, Valerie. I mean it when I say you're that strongest lady and shewolf I've ever seen. Look at how far you've gotten." Anglo said.
"Valerie, Think, and stop crying, it won't solve any problems. Ask yourself, if Alex could talk to you right now, what could he have told you to do? Or would he be happy that you're crying like this. You have it in you so think hard, and I strongly believe you're going to come out of this successfully." Michael said confidently to Valerie.
"Remember, Alex was the first reason you took this path to life. He shouldn't be the reason you give up now, it should even motivate you the more, girl." Anglo said.
Anglo and Michael continued consoling Valerie until they were able to talk her out of that mood. They took her to their house as requested by Valerie, her reason was that she would feel so lonely staying alone at her own house.
At the same time, in Veronica's house. Gabriel was also down. He wished he could stop his father already.
Veronica sat closer to him as he laid his weary head on her shoulders for comfort. He told Veronica all that happened in the woods, how Alex turned into a beast right before them, how they were attacked by Alex's unmatched powers and how he was later carried away by his father and his cohorts.
He also wondered why his father and the rest of the underworld couldn't be like him. And also what his father plans to achieve with Alex being a monster.
One thing Gabriel knew for sure, the reasons his father turned Alex into a beast was to weaken the merged world morale in battle.
He knew the humans and werewolves were soft hearted when it comes to attacking their own kind, especially the humans.
He feels his father did this to emotionally toy the merged soldiers in battle. But Gabriel prayed Valerie comes up with a plan before something more terrible happens.
Veronica, also added her own bits to the issue. She felt, this was just a challenge to test the integrity of the unity and bond between the merged world. She also wished she could help out as well.
Joe, on the other hand. Got reminded once again of his hatred against the vampires. He remembered how he father was killed by a vampire and the reason why he formed the light gang.
"Lord Zane, I'll see to your end in my lifetime. And I promise you I must make it a painful one." Joe said himself standing close to his window as he smoked his cigar.
Dawn, who was confined at the dungeon by his father. He thought of a way out to prove himself to his father too, after hearing what Lucinda had done.
He got really jealous of Lucinda achieving such great feat over him. He has always looked down on Lucinda and never believed anything good could come out of her.
He told his guards guarding the dungeon gates to get his father for him, but they refused saying they had no job at the main living room of Lord Zane.
This frustrated Dawn a lot, he just wanted to have a little conversation with his father. He threw tantrums in the cell room of the dungeon and threatening the cell guards. But they kept disrespecting his orders.
Finally, as though Lord Zane had heard his request. Lord Zane came down to the dungeon to see his son.
"Dawn, I know you've heard what your sister has achieved for our world. Something you could never achieve in your entire lifetime." Lord Zane spoke so calm and peaceful.
"Father, please just give me one more chance to prove myself to you. I promise you, I will never let you down again father. Please just one more chance." Dawn begged his father.
"Oh dear, I didn't come here to hear your pathetic plea. I just wanted to know how you were doing, and it seems you're doing okay. I'm not letting you out anytime soon so you won't spoil the fun I'm having now." Lord Zane said as he left Dawn to go back up to the castle.
Dawn shouted and pleaded on his father to have mercy on him and give him one more chance to prove himself to him as he looked so pathetic while begging. But sadly, Lord Zane wasn't ready to pay any attention to his plea.
Lord Zane was also frustrated at the whole situation. He wished it was Gabriel begging for mercy, he would have forgiven and released him right away
Few days later, Dawn was sleeping in his cell room at the dungeon when someone came to wake him up.
"Sir, I can help you, if you can help too." The strange person said to Dawn.
Dawn got up and went closer to the cell gates. As he got there he found the cell guard fast asleep on the ground.
"Don't worry sir Dawn, I knocked him out." The stranger said to Dawn.
"Who are and how did you get here?" Dawn asked looking confused.
"That doesn't matter right now. I'm here to help you, if you can help me sir." The stranger said.
"So, what are you proposing I do for you, for you to get me released?" Dawn asked.
"Sir, I'm not a human blood drinker. I live on synthetic blood, and I've ran out of supplies. Can you help me pass the magical door to the human world were I get my supplies from. Your father's recent decree doesn't allow persons like us go through anymore." the stranger said.
"And if I agree?' Dawn asked again.
"I would release you right away. And we can go right now. You can even escape to the human world for the main time." The stranger said.
Dawn agreed immediately and they both left the dungeon to the magical door unnoticed. At the magical door, he lied to guards his father has just posted there of recent, he told them his father just released and sent him on an important mission to the human world.
They successfully let him out of the underworld. As they got to the human world, the stranger thanked him and they both parted ways to their different destinations.
Dawn was confused for a moment on where to go as he knew no one at the human world. And this wasn't the time to hunt human blood either because he can't run back to the underworld when morning comes, or else he would be locked back at the dungeon.
He immediately remembered his brother was still at the human world. He had earlier received news that his brother has woken up from coma.
The problem he had now was that he didn't know where Gabriel lives. He walked around the dark streets of the human world asking for Gabriel Zane but not so many people knew him in that area.
He decided to go towards the area he last met his brother. And luckily for him, they knew him and directed him to his house.
He was double minded on going there. For one, he could apologize to his brother and Gabriel could forgive him because of his soft heart.
And the other, would be his brother telling on him and involving the humans which is too dangerous for him as he was disadvantaged.
He decided to be smart and do whatever his brother tells him to do to avoid getting killed or hurt by the humans.
At Veronica's house, Gabriel was assisting Veronica in arranging her tools she just purchased for her studio. As they were working, they heard a knock at the door. Veronica decided to go for the door while Gabriel took the heavy tools box into the store. As he arranged the tools in the store, he could hear Veronica call out to him loudly.
"Gabriel, your brother Dawn is here." Veronica shouted out to Gabriel.
Gabriel was surprised to hear that, as he immediately rushed out to confirm this for himself.
To Gabriel's greatest surprise, it was his elder brother. Gabriel could also see Veronica pointing a gun at him in so much fear.
"Come on, I told you already, I didn't come to kill anyone." Dawn said.
"What are you doing in my house you murdering? Have you come to kill me again? seeing you weren't successful the last time? Huh." Gabriel spoke out angrily at Dawn as he slowly walked closely to him.
Gabriel immediately punched him as he got closer to him. Before Dawn recover from that punch, he gave Dawn another punch.
"Hey stop! I came so you could help me!" Dawn said as stopped Gabriel from giving him another punch.
