"Get ready......he must be waiting for YOU" Mayuree was angrily mimicking her mother's dialogue. She was sitting at the table waiting for her husband, for more than an hour ........and waiters are looking at her like she has a big screw loose inside her head
she looked down at her watch and let out a harsh breath.
He is late
He is lateeeeeee......
1 AND HALF HOUR LATE...
She felt like a stupid!
I mean how insensitive one can be when you have your wife waiting for you in a bloody restaurant on the day of your marriage anniversary.......
So,
AFTER 1 HOUR
AND 45 MINUTES
AND 6 GLASS OF WATER LATER.....
finally he graced her with his presence!
He came!
in all his glory!
Fuck.....
IN THE NAME OF ALL GREEK GODS!
she had always envied him......how can someone be this good looking!
how old he would be,..... she often wondered!
Judging by the look, probably in his late 30 !?
Damn it!
she really doesn't know anything about her gorgeous specimen of a husband. Because whenever he is infront of her, she'd just..... literally just let her eyes roam all over him for her sanity's sake,
after all her sanity had to feed on something!

He just nodded at her direction before unbuttoning his blazer and taking the seat opposite of her's

"hello Mr.King....well It's Miss Parrish to you" She corrected him with a sweet smile......as he just c****d his head and raised his perfect eyebrows.
Though she always wanted to address him by his first name but ever since he proposed of not living together and not sharing his name with her until everything goes public,......it didn’t sit right with her.
beside actions speaks louder than words right ?
and he still doesn’t want any of it......so be it
meanwhile a waiter arrived to take their orders......

"and what would this pretty lady like to have" The waiter asked with a very suggestive smirk and wink
are you serious now!
"Pretty or NOT.......this lady would like you to leave" She answered giving him a hard stare and he understood and left hurriedly.
she could actually feel from the corner of her eyes that her husband was trying to fight his smile....his shoulder shook once.
''why didn't you order something ?'' He asked looking at her
"because I've had my breakfast, beside, no I'm not here to eat.....I'm here to talk" She replied without taking her eyes off him
''About what!'' He asked, tilting his head confusingly
"Oh! come now......you know It'll be a 10 minute breakfast date, it has always been!" She rolled her eyes and scoffed a little before saying that
''Excuse me, you know, ----I think that's a.....'' He started speaking when she cut him
"why...... won't you get some very important call after 10 minute and next thing i know you will leave for a very important meeting,...so,our 10 minute date starts now, no time to waste, I'll talk and you'll listen." She said making his eyes go wide.....but he contained himself giving her an opening
"look,......
we both know the reality of this marriage. It's been 3 years and i did my best to understand whatever your situation had been....... that you were busy and wanted to focus on business and you are workaholic i get it, but we are married and i could not find any reason for your unnecessary rudeness or aloofness or even you completely ignoring my existence.
if my only fault is being married to you which no one in the world has any idea about even today!
apart from our families......
i think 3 years of suffering is enough punishment for me." She said again
with that his expression rapidly turned from blank to frosty......not that she realized because of how engrossed she was in pouring her heart out infront of him.
"We should end whatever it is and be on our separate ways.....i can assure you nothing will affect our business relationship and our dad's friendship, I'm sure they'll understand." She softly finished and looked at him
by then his expression changed into something of very much unreadable, he just listened without saying a thing......
after few minutes waiter came with his food and with no responds, blank face, absolutely nothing,......he just ate, paid the bill and left without saying anything!
Not even a good bye!
NOTHING AT ALL.
And she !
what she had done!...
she should have felt good,....
satisfied in fact......instead suddenly she felt empty!
there was nothing to complain about now.....she already said everything she was bottling up inside her
That's it ?
Why did she do that ?
she should have let him talk at least right ? after all so much efforts, so much time she took in getting ready........
No! He had enough time to talk.....you did the right thing, Mayur. This is for the best. Yes!.....Her mind screamed back at her
she just sat there, until she couldn't see his retreating back.......
