Caspian’s pov
Running back to the palace with Aeris in my arms, I did not waste any second to take her to the infirmary. Her clothes had blood spilled and I wondered how much she was hurt. Arabella followed me back to the palace and as we ran to the medical wing, we noticed utter silence. All the creatures had gone and the survivors were helping each other to reach the medical wing.
Otis came running from the village and nodded to me after looking at his surroundings. I kept walking till we reached the infirmary.
The gates were opened and a guard helped me take Aeris to the emergency hall. My heart was pounding in the tension and I couldn’t let her go away from me. My senses relaxed to spot the old witch rushing towards us.
“I will take care of her.” She bowed at me and left with Aeris
