Chapter 9

How many times could our lives be hit by someone or somthings new in this case. I was sat in the library with the girls trying to find anything on these legendary warlocks. Tiron and Fero had disappeared said they was going to go check there books and journals for anything that could be useful, plus check in with some friends to see if they could help them. " I'm getting really tierd of this already we've only been witches a few months and already I've had enough of the drama " Lisa sighs as she throws another book to one side.

Emily smiles at her , it was lovley to see her so content now that she and Micheal are fully mated. She had carried a sadness around her before , but she couldn't be blamed after what happened to her and her husband. " There will be quiet moments,  where you must enjoy the peace. But I'm afraid your life will be alot more interesting from now on. Speaking of we have to go to the witch lands soon".  Standing up I stretch out my back " lets go now I want to get back and get in bed , don't know about you guys but I'm beat".

" I'll let Dante know we are going " Sophie says , she's quiet for a minute lost in her conversation. She seems to scowl and then huff " He doesn't want us going alone, he wants us to take. Micheal , Charlotte and Kristophe. He's sending the guys up". Charlotte goes over and side hugs her " You know he's just wanting to keep you guys safe ". Its only a minute later when Kristophe and Michael arrive.

They come close so we can touch them , Charlotte keeping her arm around Sophie. We seem to be getting quicker at moving us around , within seconds we was here. We are greeted with chaos everyone had already gathered for our arrival. But it wasn't like it usually was , everyone hanging around laughing and joking. No , there was shouting and arguments people even getting physical by pushing. Looking at the girls they are just as shocked.  " what the hells going on ?" Hailey says. " I don't know but where about to find out" I say. 

Stepping forward I cup my hands over my mouth and shout as loud as I can. " Quiet " a few heads turns and notice. They tap someone else and it goes on like that until. The field becomes quiet ' " does anyone want to tell us what's happening?" I shout to the crowd. People all start to look around and then a elderly female puts her hand up in the middle of the crowd. People move and part ways as she begins to make her way forward. She smiles at us all " Royalties " she bows and I still find that weird.

Sophie speaks to her " Whats happeing here ?" . The old lady sighs her face turning from joy to worry really fast. " your Royal" Sophie interrupts her. " Please use our names non of this your royalty buisness". The old lady laughs " OK Sophie,  we have felt a shift in the earth's magic. You see you get your magic from the fates and us. But we enhance our powers using the earth. Well it's been weaker like something is taking it all. Della she can talk to our ancestors and they've been silent too she's tried everything to reach them and nothing ". She looks back at a women who was near on hiding amongst the crowd she waves her forward but the women  doesn't move.

" You'll have to excuse her , she spends so much time with the dead. She's shy around the living ". Stepping  down  off of the stage I make my way over to the girl. Out of all four of us this should probably be Hailey or Sophie they was the soft touches. But the girl didn't look freaked she looked at us like she didn't trust us. Coming to a stop I look at her oddly coloured eyes like a green with browns almost spiral like her hair was tied up in a bun and black. She had black make up around her eyes she looked straight at me eyes assessing and distant. " Della right ?" I say and she nods just once sharp abrupt.

" well Della I see you don't trust us , why would you we are  new and the way you met us wasn't pleasant. But do the ancestors say anything bad of us, when they did speak that is ". Her lips turn up in a sinister grin " They do not ". I grin back her voice was smokey like a gravel deep one you'd expect more on a man than a female. " Well then what makes you distrust us ". She lets out a small chuckle " I do not distrust I just belive my loyalty is earned and I do not know you ".

Crossing my arms over my chest I raise a brow at her " then you are not stupid , we do still need to prove ourselves to you all we get that ". She looks amongst her own people then behind me where I know the other girls stand. " they just stopped talking , they came to me and said they need to shut the doors. Someone or something was trying to access them. They have not left they've simply retreated. When they do so does the magic they supply to the earth. For them to leave means something big is coming. All past Royalties are with the dead Someone hacks that they hack a bomb lets just say".

I got it they get to them they have pure magic and it's also never ending. They're already dead they can't weaken and die like if for instance you tapped of me or my sisters . " thank you Della , can I ask that is they speak to you again you'll let us know ". She nods just the once turns and walks back getting lost in the crowd. " What will we do when we become weak , we will be sitting ducks " somone shouts from in the crowd . The Chaos erupts again and I quickly get to the girls. " this isn't good " I says and they all murmur there agreements. " Valerie,  Emily what do we do here ?" Lisa asks.

This was something we wouldn't know how to deal with. Things had been so chaotic and now again, that we hadn't even got to be amongst our people. " get them all to calm down and then reassure them you are all here. We need to some how speak to the ancestors,  they must know what it is. While we figure that out they should all stay within the witch lands you girls need to be here more and create barriers. If wizards and other kinds alike find out we are weakening they will try to wipe out our kind. You girls need to learn witch history and quick ".

We are reminded again just how much our time is divided. How much we still had to learn and the responsibilities we now had. All our times been spent protecting the kingdoms and now an hybrid pack. But what about the witches , what about our own people. Of course we hadn't asked for this and kind of just got it thrust upon us. But we have been trusted with this and so far I'd say we was blowing it, the only thing we've done is use them to gain more power by tapping into them.

Valerie and Emily go amongst the crowd and start speaking to people , they do it with so much ease. They are hugged and kissed easily and welcomed because they know them. Us four are complete strangers " Ever felt more like your failing at something than you do right now ?" I ask quietly so only the girls hear. Hailey let's out a rush of air like she'd been holding her breath,  Lisa groans and Sophie replies with " Nope this is pretty much it even my parents constant disappointment didn't feel this bad ".

Turning to Kristophe,  Charlotte and Micheal who are all watching th crowd. " We will be here a while , we are not in danger you could always go back". They refuse point blank and actually tell us to fetch Cage if Valerie is staying before he cracks up. "Let's see if the Jinns will come too they know alot about everything really " I laugh. " I'll speak with Dante " Sophie says and I look back at all the eyes looking at us expectant . Even in a court room during my first ever trial as a junior law assistant when somones freedom was on our shoulders I didn't feel this much pressure But then again that was one person's life , this was a hundreds.

" Can we have your attention " I shout out and those that had gone back to talking was now looking at us. " We understand all of your worries and fears , we also understand that's we are new to all of this and don't know your ways. Me and my sisters promise we will do everything we can to protect you and find out what Is happening here ". Somone from the back a young man shouts " You need to be amongst us for a while to really know us , to protect us. We know you all have mates , you saved the vampires now you need to save us".

They didn't know we now also had an hybrid problem now too , telling them all that now didn't seem appropriate. I turn to look at Sophie Hailey and Lisa. " We stay " Sophie says and Hailey and Lisa both say the same. Our mates wouldn't like this but the kingdoms was now safe maybe it was time they now came to our kingdom for a bit. We could still help Darius with the Hybrids , who knows being here might give us answers regarding the legendary warlocks. They are magic users after all , turning back around I lift my hands up. " Where staying " I shout and rounds of applauds sound from everywhere. " Show us the houses " I say laughing. All the times we had been here to visit them it was on this field,  we had never been in the villages. Its what Emily and Valerie had said it is just a big village hidden umong a realm.

" Dante says our mates are on the way , they all said they will stay here with us ". Hailey nods Cole must have told her the same " what about the kingdom?" I ask and I'm answered by Darius in my head. " it's now safe , Vincent has been told plus the head guards that we will be out for the night. We are coming to you baby the Jinns are fetching us soon ". The crowd starts to moves towards the tree line and one by one they walk in and disappear from sight. " lets go lady's the Jinns know how to get in " Valerie says. Cage must have filled her in too, we follow the crowd and when we step through the tree line. Its like the vampire kingdom when you do it there from forest to civilization,  it was more rustic old worldly but homely.

Buildings that looked new but designed to look old. The little old lady from before is stood looking at us taking it all in. " Its designed to look abit like new Orleans " she says laughing. " It does " Sophie says , I remember that's where Arakas had taken her to. " Come this way I'll show you the Royaltie house " , I look at Emily puzzled. " There was a house built specifically for Royalties,  they've been getting it ready cleaning it all up and removing stuff from your predecessors. It's beautiful you'll all love it ."
