Chapter 8Bangkok had many temples. Some of the temples were majestic and famous. Others were small, and they were mostly frequented by the locals. It was rare to find any tourists in the less popular temples, especially if they were located farther away from the city center. Augustus was thankful that Simon was accompanying him because the man could speak Thai. Granted, Simon wasn’t fluent in Thai like the locals, but he was better than Augustus who only knew the basic vocabularies and profanities.
“I notice there are many stalls selling water lanterns, especially in the areas outside the temples, even though Loy Krathong is still three days away. Is anyone going to buy a lantern now?”
